Great Princess Playdoh toy.
My 5 year old daughter loves playing with this. It's a little hard for her to make the dress shapes without tearing the playdoh, but she just squishes it back together. Having the stage/castle backdrop adds to the fun and imaginative play.

Fun, but requires some adult participation
My 4-yr-old daughter loves Play Doh. I always have visions of her creating with it while I get stuff completed around the house. I am able to let her work on her own with Play Doh and cutting tools, but this is not quite as easy for her. She needs my help in nearly every step. I have to help her flatten the dough and press down the cut-outs, create the small (delicate) details, and especially with the Play Doh plus that this comes with. It is very sticky and does not work with the molds (it gets stuck in the crevices and is impossible to get out). She can only use it with the decorating guns (extruders), but I still need to help her a lot with this. She does love it, and it's a nice product overall, but I just wish she could use it more on her own.

I'm a little disappointed in how the larger plates function
I'm a little disappointed in how the larger plates function. I have a hard time getting some of the dress parts to come out in one piece. My 5yo gets frustrated with it. We make it work and it hasn't stopped her from playing with it but it could definitely be improved. She also has a problem with the Play-Doh falling off when she puts the dolls up in the stands. It's a cute idea and she likes that there are a LOT of different shapes to make as accessories but it doesn't function as well as it should.

Too Expensive
My girls wanted the princess design set after seeing it advertised on TV. I actually bought two of these. This was a waste of money. It was very difficult for the girls to build the dresses like the children did on the commercials. The door also kept falling off. This toy was no fun at all. It held my children's attention for less than 5 minutes. The girls then proceeded to use the play-doh to make other things. I would not recommend this to anyone.

NOPE! Wrong age minimum! FRUSTRATING!
As usual with Play-doh "toys" this is impossible for your child to do alone. My daughter got this for her 4th birthday from a friend who 1) has no girls and 2) doesn't use play-doh in her house.I on the other hand have 4 kids and have learned that play-doh "toys" are usually pointless and impossible to accomplish the advertised results. So, I do not buy the "toy" accessories, just the play-doh.This is a PERFECT example. My daughter (4) and my niece (6) are using this as I am writing this review. They are frustrated and feeling stressed. They SO WANT it to look, even a little, like the pictures and the example video this site has....it is NOT POSSIBLE! Heck, even I can not get it to look like they do in the advertisement! The cut out pieces don't even make sense to the child (young child) unless you show them what it is meant to "be" for the dress. The 4 yr old, JUST turned 4, can not do a single thing with this...she can't screw and unscrew the decorating tips, she can't flatten the doh down enough to make molds correctly and if she could she can't get the molds out without them breaking. The little bows and flowers you can make just end up smooched blobs in the fingers of a young child.Plus playing with 2 is not fun because they both want to use the big skirt! I mean who wants to decorate the flat, one deminsional body when there is a big standing skirt to have! They don't realize the have to hold the top of the play-doh "ribbon" to keep it from flopping right of while they unsuccessful try to string it down the dress as shown. And as usual with the play doh "toys" THERE IS NEVER ENOUGH PLAY-DOH! Thankfully I have play-doh!I only gave this 2 stars because: It was easy to assemble and is sturdy for what it is. Also, because an older child could have more success so long as they have patience and understand it can never look like they show!WASTE of money for a child under 6 unless your child doesn't care one bit if they can actually do any of what it says they can. Then the can just smoosh doh all over it and therefor ENJOY! My daughter is precise and type A so she has expectations based on what it says she can do!

Lots of fun
This item is lots of fun for children that are patient or have a parent to play with them it take some time to mold and cut out the pieces and place them although the little ones seem to have fun.

Fun Set!
My children have had countless hours of fun with this set! I recommend stocking up on the Play-Doh Plus for the extruder. Play-Doh Plus is much softer than standard Play-Doh and squeezes through the extruder with ease, whereas the traditional doh is thicker and ends in frustration with younger children who aren't quite strong enough to force it through.

Play Doh Disney Princess
The idea behind the concept was good. The pieces to add on to the dresses were much too small for little hands. too many little add ons...
