Rachael Ray Serveware 3-Quart Stoneware Mixing Bowl, Purple

LOVE this mixing bowl! I wish it were a little less expensive, but as far as flexibility of use, this thing takes the cake. Microwave, oven, dishwasher... it's all good. To me, having a large mixing bowl that was microwave AND dishwasher safe, while also having an excellent handle/way to hold the bowl makes the price well worth the investment.That being said, this sucker is HEAVY. When you add the weight of the bowl, plus a bowl full of batter/etc., be prepared for an arm work-out if you need to elevate the bowl much to pour out of it. The handle is a great design for making the weight easier to handle, but it's still going to be quite hefty. Source: my 5'3", 110 lb mother said she it was too heavy empty for her to be able to handle.

I do a lot of whole foods cooking so my boyfriend's mother got me the 1 & 2 quart bowls for my birthday last year and I absolutely love them! Not only are they pretty (my favorite color) but very versatile. Often recipes say you cannot use metal bowls, these are stoneware, so are perfectly safe. Also you wouldn't think the handle would make such a difference, but it does...when my hands are wet & slippery I know I can always get a good grip on the bowl. It also looks great on the table as a serving bowl. It says it's oven safe to 500 degrees, I've never tried it. I'm very excited to add the 3 quart to my kitchen!!! There's a saying, always get a bigger bowl than you think you'll need, you'll be surprised when you fill it up. Here's hoping Rachel makes a 4 quart.

I have all 3 sizes of this bowl and love them all! I'd give this a 5 but I've had a problem with the porous bottom smelling moldy. I realize that you aren't suppose to soak them due to their porous bottom and I never have. However my husband soaked one of them and now they all smell moldy. I've tried running them in the dishwasher, cleaning them with baking soda and also soaking them for a couple of hours in vinegar. Nothing gets rid of the smell..any suggestions? Short of buying a whole new set I'm not sure what to do. But I would recommend this product, I love them! Very handy and useful!

Excitement is not strong enough to describe my feelings when I received this late Christmas present yesterday. My darling husband had given my an Amazon gift card and instead of using it to buy books for my Kindle, I used it for something more tangible. This mixing bowl is EXACTLY what I hoped it would be; gorgeous color, not too heavy, versatile. Made a salad in it last night and will use it this weekend to mix up a batch of cinnamon apple waffles. It is PERFECT! May just have to get the 1 qt and 2 qt bowls to go with it.

I purchase this as a gift for my daughter. We liked the bowl and I think it would have been very workable. We did return it because of a storage issue. She didn't feel she had room on her shelf and if was hard to nest other bowls in it, due to shape.

These are awesome. Although they are a tad heavy, they are very easy to mix in without making a huge flour-y mess since they are so deep. The handles make it easy to pour from them as well. I like how they stack one inside the other (I have all 3 sizes available). Great for making cakes, waffles, etc.

I love the shape, batters pour out perfectly.The handle makes it easy to control while stirring, and makes moving it with one hand easy-even when heavy and full.It is versatile enough to prep, bake and serve in (great for au gratin potatoes).I have the 1 qt. and 2 qt. as well.
