Might have a defective unit, but isn't accurate
So I was using just this unit to add air as the temps kept dropping. Once they started to rise again I grabbed my regular Longacre tire gauge and went to drop the pressure. Based on temp change it seemed like my tires had gained too much air. So grabbed this gauge and my regular tire gauge and sure enough, this one is off by a few PSI. So then got me thinking if my regular tire gauge which is a good many years old is the problem.Just so happens the entire family got these gauges cause of me, they all have the 2" tire gauges and I have the 2.5" and we compared them all to this unit. All read identical except for this unit.I will be reaching out to longeacre to ask about that, you expect these to be accurate to some degree on day 1!Also, since the weather is improving I got my other car out of storage and filled the tires with this unit to proper PSI, started driving it and it synced the PSI in the tires and read high. Confirmed with my regular tire gauge which matched my vehicles TPMS system. So think it's safe to say, it's not accurate!

No reading glasses required.
Anytime I can use a tool or appliance without reading glasses, it is a winner. I wanted an air gauge that I could easily get within half a pound or less every time, since I am a bit OCD on air pressures for the tires of our cars. Also, this one is easy to use with two hands. And if I swapped out the chuck for a clip-type, I could make it a one-handed tool. Anyway, love this gauge. A bit expensive but totally worth it.

Solid professional feel
It's new, so I have not used it but once. It comes without an air hose connector, which makes sense. One should be sure to buy the appropriate connector for your air hose. To a casual observer, these fittings to be all the same, but they are not. The entire apparatus feels heavy-duty and professional. The air valve seems sturdy. The gauge has an appropriate range for automobiles and light trucks: 0 to 60. It is not uncommon to see 0-160 psi gauges, but it is very difficult to judge tire pressures precisely with the 5-pound mark intervals that are necessary for such a large range. The glow-in-the-dark feature is probably useful, but fortunately I have not needed it yet.

Accuracy, Durability, and Value; not there...
I purchased this about a year ago, and picked it due to all the positive reviews. I was willing to spend a little extra, in hopes that it would be more accurate and higher quality/more durable than the lower price alternatives. In the end it failed in both regards.I have used it very little, maybe 3-4 times before today when I noticed it's inaccuracy. I used a tire deflater with a digital gauge; afterwards when filling back up I noticed this gauge was significantly off from the previous reading. Trying to determine which of the two gauges were off, I checked with the psi with two other gauges. They all read the same except for this one. It was roughly 7 psi off.I then looked to see if there as a calibration screw and removed the rubber cover. In doing so, the gauge sheered off at the threads. I used the absolute minimum amount of force removing the rubber cover, it is totally the fault of the gauge. It was never dropped or abused, I truly cannot imagine what metal was used that could be that weak and brittle. In the end, the gauge was inaccurate, not durable, and costs more than other highly rated, similar products. Don't know what else to say... maybe I got a lemon?

Second best of four.
Well built and accurate gauge. I ended up buying an Astro, an ARB, a Longacre, and a Joe's Racing tire inflator. I returned both the ARB and the Joe's Racing. The ARB was made in China and not accurate. The Joe's Racing was defective as every time you open the valve to fill the tire, the gauge showed full line pressure, thereby pegging the gauge and throwing it out of calibration. The only way to prevent this would be to ensure your line pressure was less than 60 PSI, which is not practical when you are trying to fill a tire. I kept the Astro and the Longacre. Between the Astro and the Longacre, I like the Astro a little better because it appears more rugged and because it was easy to attach the Coilhose CH15 lock on the Astro hose. I think the Longacre is probably a little more accurate than the Astro. The Longacre does not use 1/4 NPT hose end to fit the Coilhose CH15.

Accuracy
finally a gauge that works the way it supposed to! Super hi quality is what you get! I’ve had several electronic gauges they all had erroneous readings while inflating. Some were off as often as much as 10 Psi. you never really knew what you had until you purge the system and waited for an accurate reading. These weren’t inexpensive gauges either. Buy this gauge you will be super happy with it!
