Best pencils ever
These pencils are definitely overpriced but they are the only ones I use anymore! LOVE them! They write so smoothly and erase so nicely for doing my puzzles! You do have to sharpen often but they sharpen so nice and are always on center! Love that I can adjust the erasers!! They last forever, too.

Artist friend swears by these...
I bought these for my friend who does most of his drawing with this brand pencil. He swears by these as being the most pleasant pencil to sketch and create with. I bought this set as a thank you for some work he did for us. Amazing.

Smoothest writing pencil w a great eraser.
Best pencils on the market. My 9 year old granddaughter even enjoys doing her math homework using Blackwing 602 pencil. It makes writing a breeze... so smooth and effortless. I even think it improves your writing skills even though that sounds crazy. Guess you should try it to see what im saying here. Great for sketching with the sharp point you can achieve and mistakes can be easily removed by it's wonderful eraser.

The box has changed.
The pencils are wonderful as always but they now come in a much cheaper flat box. For 37 dollar a dozen I would think that the great gift ready box that they use to come in would be better.

I thought I was getting a black box
The item I ordered was black wing 602, I received the black wing 602. I like these pencils.

The only pencil for me.
These pencils are expensive, but they write so much nicer than others. Gliding it across the paper has a feeling akin to a high quality pen, and very little pressure is needed to write.

Simply The Best
I started my journey as a self-taught artist almost 10 years ago after a 30 year hiatus from my earliest Crayolas. As I began purchasing more and more art supplies, I went through some of the better brands- Faber Castell, Derwent, Staedtler - you name it, I've tried it. But after getting back into more freehand pencil sketching I decided to give the "best of the best" a try. It's truly the best, don't know how or why but the smoothness these pencils provide is unmatched. The price is ridiculous but I have a feeling it's due to overall inflation and shortage in materials due to COVID. Thank you for continuing to create marvelous products!!!
