A- Tattoo Kit
I purchased this Grinder kit for a nephew who needed something to get started with and was really impressed by the quality and quantity of stuff you get for the money in this kit. After a few weeks with this kit while showing my nephew the basics, I feel like it's time I left an actually useful review for those thinking of purchasing this kit. 1. Tattoo Machines - Grade: A These machines are GREAT to get started with. We've had no problems with them and they are more powerful than I had expected - true 10 coil machines. Out of the box, you need to tune these machines, but once you've done that they are good to go. They are not dedicated liners or shaders so you can tune them as you need it. The machines are lightweight (about 5-6oz) and easy to handle for a beginner. This is also great for someone experienced since it allows you to be lighthanded. I loved these machines so much, I kept one of the 4 for myself. 2. Power Supply - Grade B It's a standard power supply - nothing fancy. It does the job and puts out the amount of power needed for the tattoo machines to run smoothly. I like the LCD display over analog because it's easier to read. It comes paired with a standard foot pedal and clip cord too. None of these components are very fancy, but they work. When my nephew gets better at this, I'll probably upgrade this power supply to something better and he can keep this set as a backup. 3. Ink - Grade: B- You get a lot of 1/2oz bottles of ink in this kit. The ink quality isn't great, but it's decent. It's not too thin and it lays well, although it is not as dark as higher quality inks. You get what you pay for though, since truly good ink is like $4-5 for a 1/2 oz bottle. This type of ink is fine to practice with before you start building your professional color set. 4. Accessories - Grade: A+ You get a LOT of accessories. There's 50 needles in a bunch of the most used sizes - some liners and some shaders. It's a nice little mix, especially for someone who doesn't know what they like yet. You can start with this kit and try everything and decide what sizes you like to use most before buying full boxes of needles. The kit comes with little baggies of all the stuff you will need to replace like grommets and rubber bands... basically stuff you'll need to keep using your kit. The kit comes with stainless steel tips and disposable tips that match the needles that come in the kit. I personally prefer to use disposable tubes since it requires less cleaning, but the tips are fine too. The real reason why I am giving accessories an A+ is because this kit comes with a great instructional tattoo book that covers all the basics of tattoo, from machine mechanics to tuning the machines to fundamentals of outlining and shading work. The book itself is worth the purchase of this tattoo kit. Overall, this is a great kit to get started with. It comes with everything to get running out of the box. All you would need to purchase outside of this kit would be a larger bottle of black ink, a bottle of greensoap, and some A&D ointment. This is a great kit for a great price. If you're on the fence about making the purchase - just do it. I did and I am very happy with the purchase!

includes everything needed for tattoo art
Am a visual artist and a novice tattoo artist, already heavily tattooed but started working on myself late January 2021. Not sure I will ever be good enough to tattoo anyone else, but I have taken the route many tattoo artists have taken, at least Old School, experimenting and making mistakes on myself ;) Though I do feel good about the art I've added to the canvas that is my body (will throw in here I have a pretty strong sense of humor ;) This is a good kit. The one I received today is a back-up. I have spent many hours using the first kit, though I did order some additional ink, needles, and cups from Pirate Face (Their website seems to not be working for orders, at this time). I wore the first machine out, probably using it improperly, but it lasted many hours. There are no telling how many hours I have spent tattooing myself. The second machine, I dropped it and broke the nipple off the armature and possibly broke off a knob. The armature could likely be replaced, and now that I've learned things experientially on myself with the machines, I'm trying to learn more about coil machines and possible repair if I get to that point of proficiency. Am on the third machine now. And wanted to get a back-up machine in case the power supply goes out, the connector cord stops working, or I wear out the third and fourth machines. As an artist, I see art as being all about process, just as my dad, a self-taught professional artist did (He would have been an amazing tattoo artist but worked mostly in watercolor). Don't listen to anyone that tells you not to tattoo yourself, if you are serious about tattoo art and you don't mind "mistakes" ;) To me, 'mistakes' are valuable and can be beautiful. If anyone were to ever give me s#it about what I have done to myself with ink, I would laugh at them and tell them where to put it. Have courage, and enjoy it! If I ever were to touch a needle to someone else, of course I would have an autoclave and know how to use it. Definitely please be careful as far as potentially transmitting illness contagious through body fluids. I know, for me, I have made myself bleed at times (not intentionally, of course, but on lower legs and feet that has been more of an issue for me), and even the work a professional tattoo artist does pulls out some body fluids. I am holding on to my needles but would be unlikely to re-use them for tattoo art -- maybe in art in another capacity, or they might be useful for something else. It's a good kit and I appreciate the folks at Pirate Face and ACM USA.

Tattoo Kit -- Perfect for Starters
Pro: - Got the creative hand of tattooing fruit quickly - Wide selection of colors to play with - Find your style of Gun - Lots of Clean, Fresh and Safe needles ! Cons: - Not recommending to use on a Customer - Still considering of self tattooing... - Power Box is on the weak side. The Tattooing Kit is for the begging stages of practice tattooing. I would only recommend buying this product if you have some skill in drawing and knowledge in tattooing! On the up side, This Kit is perfect to tattoo Fruit and Pig's skin; as well as the Kit is a all in one briefcase, with a clean black and silver finish. The traveling kit is handy, in addition the Accessories are well appreciated with a pair of gloves and a Wide Selection of Colors, including the Selection of Guns! The only down side I see in this product is the power source could be a little stronger but for the most part, I love the Tattoo Kit as its a start to my career.
