This is exactly what I needed as it has a rather large bowl that measures 13 x 5 inches. So it holds a lot of fruit. Being that my husband and I are trying to eat healthier, a big bowl is perfect. So we have plenty of fresh fruit to munch on at any given moment. This fruit bowl is very sturdy and it will not tip if you just have bananas hanging from it and no fruit inside. Just make sure you put the plastic cap things that come with it or it will not be as study and will be a little bit wobbly. This bowl has a removable hanger so if you don't want to hang bananas or grapes you just don't have to install it and it still makes a pretty center piece. All and all this is an awesome fruit bowl. It can easily hold 15 oranges, plus the bananas on top. It takes quite a lot of counter space, but in my case it takes less than having a banana hanger AND a fruit basket next to it.
