Easy install on KenmoreโUPDATE
June 2022โhas stopped working. Got almost a year from it. Have ordered another, see how long the second one lasts. July 2021โExactly the part I needed for Kenmore 500 series dryer. Found a great YouTube video and was able to install myself. Was a pretty easy to do job. Will keep an eye on how long it lasts, as read some reviews saying the element only lasted a few months. One of the coils on my element was broken, causing the issue.

Solid Product
We've been using this product for several years now. Lasts longer than a year, which is great and much cheaper than the laundromat. We received one that a metal prong abruptly broke off of and they replaced the next day. Wonderful service and great inexpensive product.

Replacement parts identical to OE parts, perfect fit.
Can't beat it. $28 and my 18 year old dryer works as new! Highly recommend this product and seller.

They last about 9-12 months
I can't even count how many times I've had to replace either the element or some thermostat on my dryer. One would think at that rate of failure, it's user error, or poor maintenance like a clogged vent, bad door seal, etc, but no, these things just don't really hold up that long. I've used official Whirlpool branded parts and a dozen of these random brands you find here on Amazon/other sites, and they all last about as long as one another. One thing that's important to understand is that there really isn't a "SUMNEW" brand. All of these element kits are made by one, maybe two different gigantic factories in China and are slapped with random, strange names and act as their own entity. Whether you buy this or the other random sounding brand name kit, there really isn't going to be a difference in quality. You'll get about a year of use before the element burns out, or one of the thermostat fails. The saving grace is that these are at least reasonably priced, come with all the thermostats/thermal fuse, and prolific with fast delivery.

At first glance it does seem better ("upgraded") than the rest of the cheap replacements I've tried
UPDATE: I've revised my review down to one star. This element is just as bad as the rest, unfortunately. Did not make it 90 days before burning out. Add this to the ones to avoid. The photo I've included is NOT of the reviewed element but of the last three cheap knockoff heater elements I've had... all three from different sellers, but all three identical in every aspect. This one is different! Replacement element #5 died on the last Friday of March. I've tried three different "brands" (I use that term loosely as it's all the same junk in the same box just sold by different accounts with strange names that appear to be two mutilated English words mushed together) that have all failed within 3 months of replacement... one didn't even go an entire month. This particular element was available to me overnight, with delivery between 4am and 8am, so I held my nose and bought it. It was delivered promptly at 4:30am... first thing I noticed was no outer shipping box. OK, that's probably due to the nature of the overnight delivery. But the product box was slightly different from the rest, and when I pulled the element out, I was impresses to see it was much better quality than all the others, at least in appearance. One striking detail was cotter pins securing the plate that carries the insulators and coils to the frame. None of the other cheap replacements had that feature, though I'm not entirely sure they're necessary... but still, off to a positive start. When I pulled the back off my dryer, which I am now a world-class expert at doing and current speed record holder, and removed the burned out unit, I noticed the steel was thicker on the new unit, the finish was better, and the stamping was completely different from the other replacements. It's definitely built better. Strumming the heating coils I noticed they were stiffer and not as flexible as the other replacements - maybe an indication that the coils will last longer than 90 days, I hope? Regardless, time will tell, and I will update my review when/if the heating element dies again (I'm planning on upgrading our home to different appliances soon, and hopefully before it goes bad).
