Pineapple&Star Sun Straw Fedora Beach Hat Fine Braid UPF50+ for Unisex

I ordered this hat for my father based on its look and the reviews. The reviews are correct. This is an excellent hats. It's constructed well, arrives in a protective packaging that keeps the brim from getting smashed. Contained in the package is cushioning in case you want the hat to fit a little more snug. The hat also has an adjustment band inside. If your head measurements meets the upper limit of a particular hat size's measurement, my suggestion is to just buy the next size up. This way you can always use the padding or adjustment band to get a perfect fit. You won't be able to stretch the hat out if you buy a hat that fits snug rather than comfortable. I was going to buy another hat for the same price from a fashion website with the intials BR, but that hat looks less classy than this hat from Pineapple Star. I bought this hat for my father and he looks amazing in it. He's in his mid 70's and I wanted him to have a hat to shade his face & head but look dressier than a boonie hat but less formal than a fedora. The brim on this hat isn't floppy but you can still finesse it into a style that suits you. I liked this hat so much that I purchased one for myself. UPDATE: 6/30/20 The hat I purchased for myself just arrived! This is definitely a stylish hat. The size small fits better than the large. I noticed, like others, that the hat seems shallow and doesn't come down to the ears. I saw some photos of women with their hats fitted down to their ears. Mine left about 2 inches above the ear. So I pulled that hat down with a little force to bring it closer to my ears. I kept hearing a tearing sound as I pulled it down. I took the hat off to inspect it but there were no tears in the material. I checked the inside and I realized it was the velcro strap that was slowly pulling apart as I pulled the hat down. So I just unlatched the velcro connection and voila, the hat proceeded to come down to my ears WITHOUT pushing the indented crown part of the hat outward. So now I have a perfect fit, a perfect look, all thanks to a perfect hat. I highly recommend this hat. It's classy yet casual and definitely not floppy. The brim is stiff enough to maintain its shape yet flexible enough for you to bend it into the shape that you want. It will then hold that shape. Thanks PineApple & Star PRO TIP: If your hat fits snug out the box, simply undo the velcro belt on the inside. Feel free to pull the hat down further on your head. You won't damage the hat.

This is a well made hat. For the price I wasn’t expecting incredibly high quality but i was wrong. its well made, fits as expected and includes good options for adjusting the fit. it is a wider brim than i expected but since (for me) its a sun hat, that suits me fine. it’s styled neutral so could be worn by a man or woman if that sort of thing is a concern for you. its made in china if that sort of thing is a concern for you. it is lightweight, comfortable and sturdy. Comes with an optional adjustable chin strap which inserts via holes in the inside band. also includes 2 little decorative pins, and 3M brand thick padded tape strips for fit adjustment. for the price i have no complaints. honestly no complaints regardless of price.

2024 UPDATE (original below): STILL ROCKING THIS GREAT HAT! I ALWAYS get compliments on this hat. It's held up very well. The brim is still straight. It's a great way to add black in the summer as it's straw. This will go great with your black and white outfits! Great quality for the price. I keep it low on my wall of hats because I grab it often. I just received this hat and I really like the brim and for the really low price it seems to be good quality. Unfortunately it arrived mis-shapened. I really like it so I reordered. I don't feel like reshaping a brand new hat hat. It's new so. Hoping for the best. I'll update once the new one arrives. Thankfully Amazon returns are a breeze. The hat arrived in a clear zipped plastic bag shaped like a hat. Maybe a cardboard box to protect the brim and crown might work better. I'm not sure. Looking forward to the new arrival. If all goes well I'll give it a 5 star rating because it's the right shape and color. UPDATE: 2 days later I have an update.😊 The replacement hat arrived and looks good. It doesn't has those waves like the one in the pic. The hat fits well! I really like how flat the brim is. Again, it feels like quality. It's pretty light as well. I haven't worn it out (it just arrived), but putting it on my head it feels like it will be fine to wear all day. I purchased large and I like this size because the front inner area near my forehead doesn't feel like it start get irritating from close wear all day. In other words, no pressure there. I will still shape it a tad bit and use a stiffner to get it just the way I want it. It is collapsible so I guess that may account for these hats not having the perfect crown. I included a single third pic to demonstrate. But that's just beung VERY nit picky. The hats really do seem well made. Another update after my first wear test.😉

What a pleasant surprise! This hat arrived in a nice box that protected it in transit. The quality, for the price, is outstanding. It’s a beautiful hat and appears to be very well made. Sizing was accurate. Measure your head and refer to the size chart. There is also a way to adjust the size slightly if it’s a little too large. A nice surprise was a chin strap, you may add, if you like. Directions are provided and are pretty simple. If you’re on the fence, I recommend going ahead and ordering this hat. I think it’s an excellent value for the money. Also included are directions for packing the hat, as well as cleaning it. There are so many times when the photo on the Amazon listing does not match the item you receive, but in this case, it’s accurate, or even better!

I picked up a cheap Panama hat while traveling in Italy and for ten Euros, it served me well. Despite the fact that I look like a geek wearing anything but a ball cap, I wanted to buy a better quality Panama and looked on Amazon for something. I found a hat that was about $80, made somewhere in South America that looked really nice, but the seller wanted $10 or $12 to ship. I thought that was kind of ridiculous so I kept looking and found this one instead. Considerably less money, so I wasn't expecting a whole lot. The hat showed up, very well packed for the trip and I am impressed. It is made of a tightly knit straw that looks gorgeous and the worksmanship is superb. I normally wear a 7 1/4 hat so I ordered the Medium. But the medium was too large to fit without adjustment. It turns out that making the hat slightly smaller was pretty simple - there is a velcro tab that makes the hat size fit my noggin perfectly. I still look like a geek wearing a hat, but this won't change no matter how much I pay for one. I like this hat - it's classy looking and looks like it will last a lifetime.

My hat arrived a number of weeks and it's unbelievable how many strangers compliment me on this hat. The hat was boxed well and arrived on time and uncrushed. The hat itself is beautiful. The fit is great. Would and WILL probably be buying more hats in the future. Finally, I was concerned about how well this hat would clean up after sweating on the golf course in August in Alabama......while it did stain I must point out that it was a white straw hat. At any rate it cleaned up entirely just by using a popular dish spray soap name Power "something" (if you know what I mean). Bottom line is I would 100% recommend this hat.

Fits perfectly and packaged very well. It comes with two pins to customize the hat, but I didn't use them. Apparently this is packable by rolling it, but I haven't had the nerve to try that . . . I just wear it on the plane. It's very handsome.

This is a good hat! Well made and comfy..

I've had this hat for over a year and it's been dragged around the world in suitcases but still retains it's shape. I don't roll it, I just pack stuff around it. Without the chin strap I would have lost it a hundred times. When I'm not using the strap I just tuck it into the tag at the back. Would never buy a hat without this option again. I have a smaller head so was concerned it would be too big but with the adjustment it's perfect.
