Yes! I use it to replace wasd all the time!

Can the joystick shell be locked in place so I can use it like a normal mouse?

U can turn off the joystick shell easy. By default its not used anyway.

Does the software work on Mac?

No... while the kickstarter (which I backed) promised Mac-specific drivers, no such drivers have been produced. Right now the only drivers available are Windows-specific. However, on the Mac the scroll wheel works fine, and the side joystick triggers window scrolling (although at fairly high variable speed). The side buttons don't seem to do anything on macOS, but I'm pretty sure that USB Overdrive or ControllerMate could map them to something useful. I suspect, however, that the full mouse tilt is mostly a lost cause on macOS. Let me know if you have other questions, I'm also willing to experiment with USB Overdrive, if that helps.
