Does not quite live up to its promise
I have been composting my dog waste for years using an in-ground dog dooley system and enzymes. I moved recently and had to move my digester. I saw this product and it made a great promise and was easy to setup. I have one medium-large lab mix dog. I started using the digester in the winter in Northern California (40F-60F), and the digestion process was very slow. This was not surprising, as the enzymes in these systems work faster at higher temperatures. This is not mentioned in the documentation. Once summer came around the digestion process started working faster. Eventually, the container filled and I noticed that the matter at the bottom of the container which I added in the winter was not quite digested. The size of the container made it difficult to turn the contents of the digester, and again none of this is in the docs, which promise for the fecal to magically go away. Lastly, once the contents of the digester are digested (the matter smells like the mud in a swamp rather than poop), you still have to dispose of what remains. It does not magically go away. I spread it and buried it under compost in a new flower planting area. So the product worked, but I had to rely on prior experience, and it certainly it was not as magical as its promise would make you believe. I can see people new to dog digestion abandoning the idea because of the relative messiness of the process. Also, the enzymes are relatively expensive and not commensurately superior to other solutions. Since then, I bought a dog dooley steel system: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002DI35E?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title which is made of steel. It requires a little more work installing (you have to dig a deep narrow hole) but once installed is a lot easier to maintain than this product.

Super flimsy
I received this and didn't even open it. It's super flimsy and certainly not worth $50 that I paid. I just went straight to return it for refund. I expected something with some substance, the cardboard I used to ship it back had more resilience than it did. I could see that it was shipped flat, but it still could have been a strong enough product that I couldn't just easily bend it with it's own weight. I can't believe that it would hold up to outdoor conditions, especially the occasional bump from the lawn mower or repeated beating from the weed whacker.

Of Marginal Value
UPDATE Still flimsy but holding up nonetheless. And while it took a long while, the decomposition has started and breaks down well. Raising from 2 stars to 4 stars Original Review Flimsy but I can live with that if it works. Been 6 month and don't see it really working - poop pile is same as if I has been piling it elsewhere. Been following instructions to a T in regards to adding the digester powder

Great product, our soil is the problem
We used this for our 2 dogs. It works fine, it's our soil that's the problem We have a ton of clay just below the surface of our yard. In order for this to work well, we would have to dig out a significant hole and refill with fill dirt. The clay in our soil keeps this from doing its job/ working properly. But if you have better ground/ soil it would be perfect. I gave it 5 stars because, although it doesn't work for us, it's not because it's a bad product.

Just start a compost heap
I got this to put in a garden. It was a pain to install. I had to ask my husband to do it. You might as well just start a compost heap and put your dog’s waste into that.

Not a hard bin. Small box. Not worth the price.
Unfortunately, there were limited reviews when I purchased, or I overlooked them. I liked the idea of the product. Hower, This product comes unassembled. It is a few sheets of plastic, and you have to snap it into shape. It is flimsy. It is not a sturdy animal-waste system. I liked the idea of having the open bottom - but this same design can be achieved by cutting a hole in the bottom of a plastic container and filling it up with dog poop. Not worth the purchase price. Would not recommend to a friend in good faith for the price paid.

Bigger than it sounds.
I put it together yesterday and I discovered that I had to fold the plastic with a determined attitude to get the slots to fit together. But after I had discovered that it went together nicely and was more rigid than I expected. I didn’t try to push a spade in. I cheated and attached the container to a fence with a bungee cord I had lying around. It’s stable and it puts off the hard work until the weather is better!

Works great for 2 labradors
At first I thought it wasn’t working and there was a smell for the first few weeks but then I used doggie dooley waste eliminator and everything started moving along. It takes a bit to get things started but once it gets going it really works well.

Waste of money
I purchased this a year ago and what I have today is a container with a years worth of bog poo. I was hoping to be green and dispose of my dogs poo in an environmentally friendly way, but this doesn’t work at all. I have a black container that’s in my flower bed sinking of poo and theirs nothing I can do about it. Don’t make my mistake and waste your money.
