Lastly, once the contents of the digester are digested (the matter smells like the mud in a swamp rather than poop), you still have to dispose of what remains. It does not magically go away. I spread it and buried it under compost in a new flower planting area. So the product worked, but I had to rely on prior experience, and it certainly it was not as magical as its promise would make you believe. I can see people new to dog digestion abandoning the idea because of the relative messiness of the process. Also, the enzymes are relatively expensive and not commensurately superior to other solutions. No, you certainly don't need to buy any worms. :) **Q: Will this work during the new england winter months? i think it would just freeze up during winter but would work well during rest of the year.** A: My advice, do not waste your money on this item. It is very flimsy plastic sheet that you have to assemble. Sort of like origami using thick paperboard, only it is plastic board. I returned my purchase. Better, they make a product called Doggie Dooley, mine seems pretty durable. Simply give a light sprinkle each time you add a new 'layer' of waste. You do NOT need to add the entire contents of the sachet, only a light sprinkle each time, making sure to save the remainder for the next time poop is added. **Q: Can i add my " green matter" to compost also?** A: The Pet Waste Wizard enzymes are only designed to deal with Pet Waste. If you wish to treat green matter from the kitchen you will need Kitchen Waste Wizard which has a different consortium to deal with Kitchen Waste. It's super flimsy and certainly not worth $50 that I paid. I just went straight to return it for refund. I expected something with some substance, the cardboard I used to ship it back had more resilience than it did. I could see that it was shipped flat, but it still could have been a strong enough product that I couldn't just easily bend it with it's own weight.
