Functionally good but design is lacking and can cause injury
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I purchased the 32cm size and the base fits within the larger heating element of my electric glass top stove. No rocking and handles are warm to the touch when heated. Functionally it is a very good steamer that quickly creates steam and maintains a pretty good temperature so steam buns cooked a lot faster and more evenly versus an older steamer I had from 30 years back.CONS:- Even though there are vent holes the lid does splatter hot water when used. This is due to the lid sitting nearly flush with the divider. The condensation that drips down the lid creates a seal there and when the pressure exceeds what the vent holes can handle hot water will splatter and can cause burn injury if not careful. Either a drain where the water builds up needs to be placed on the divider plates or a better venting system needs to be designed.- As other review have stated the metal used is sub par and there is side of some oxidation reaction at the base plate seam.- Residual finishing in the inner lip area of the lid hard to clean.Overall if needing a large steamer this will more than satisfy your needs but there needs to be a redesign and possibly better materials used. Not sure if the oxidation in the base plate will eventually lead to issues with thermal conduction but currently it is just causing some crusting at the seams.

A good replacement to my old steamer with the metal sides which broke off after a few uses.
I didn't really know what size this steamer was because I didn't convert the measurements for me to get a better understanding of the size. When I got it in the mail I was surprised when I took it out the box because it was so big. I thought it was not going to fit on my stove but it did. I just used it for the first time today and I actually like it. I only used one tier and still have to figure out what to use the other one for. I chose this type of steamer over the bamboo steamer because I read a review about the bamboo steamer peeling and breaking apart after a few uses. I think this type of steam will out last the bamboo steamers.

Great for professionals
Parents love using these to make buns/steam dimsum etc. my dad is like a chef so he kept pushing for this much larger steamers so i think you get these if you plan to make a bunch of stuff and need to steam a lot at once. otherwise it might be too big for regular folks.

Steamer Pot
This 3 Tier/Layer Steamer Cooking Pot is perfect to make multiple items at the same time. We used it for clams, lobster tails, and crab legs at the same time and it worked perfectly. Easy to Clean too.

Excellent for cooking for a large group.
Excellent for cooking for large family. But a b@@@h to clean though. Lots of under the rim and holes to scrub but I guess that’s what makes a good steamer.

MORE STAINLESS PLATING?
Great concept, decent size. After a few uses, the metal tray started to show rust. Inside the base, started pitting and rusting. Maybe it doesn't have a heavy enough coating of stainless? I like the pot, need to replace.
