Well Worth The Money
This is one very nice bicycle lock.Pros: The large dial is easy to read and even easier to reset to your choice of four-digit code. Lets face it, any bike lock can be compromised, but this one will give most "casual" would-be thieves a real run for their money. The diameter of the cable alone is impressive enough to send a "don't even bother" message to most crooks. The six foot uncoiled length of vinyl covered cable is long enough to easily secure a bike to most bike racks.Con: The included clamp is too small to fit my bikes top or seat tube. However, because the lock is self-coiling, it easily fits in my MTX trunk bag, so I'm still giving this product a full five stars.

Worthy of consideration
I've have this for about three years now and has held up fairly well. Fortunately, I haven't had anyone test out its actual protection capabilities (no one has tried cutting it)...and I hope things stay that way. This cable lock is quite heavy and storing it on a bike can be a bit complicated (there is a supplied clip to hold it on the seat post, but it is next to useless). The cable remains self-coiling after years of hard use and the lock is fairly well-designed (minimizing stress on the cable). While fairly flexible, the cable is only 6 feet long, making it tricky to secure a bike to a car rack.

Compact unit that works well.
I had one of these for about 8 years and gave it to my son to use on his bike. I wanted to replace it with the identical model because I liked it so much. I didn't try using the mounting bracket because on my mountain bike I figure it will eventually give way and I'll lose the cable. This may not be a fair assessment, but it didn't look sturdy enough. No problem, though, because it is the cable itself I'm very happy with. I also have a two seater bike that I've used this cable to secure. It's got a long frame, but this cable is long enough to secure it. It's easy to set/change the combination when needed.

Very easy to crack. Dial clicks into place for correct combination.
This lock seems sturdy, the cable is pretty thick, the dials are easy to turn and it seems like a secure lock except for one fatal flaw. The combination lock is very easy to crack. If you pull on the lock while turning the last dial, it will click into place whatever combination you have it set. Once the last dial clicks into place, the 3rd, 2nd and 1st dial will do the same thing when you pull on the lock. The combination can be cracked within 30 seconds.

Sturdy dependable lock!
This is an awesome lock! It's very easy and simple to use. I think it's a great lock to put on your bike when leaving for short periods of time. The braid is pretty thick but given enough time it might be able to be cut with a wire cutter. Over all I would highly recommend it!

It looks beefy, but it is only as strong as its weakest link
Okay, it LOOKS really beefy, but it REALLY is only as strong as its weakest link. See picture. I had a small 4' x 8' trailer secured to a support pole for our front deck. I forgot to undo the lock, lifted the tongue of the trailer and started to pull it forward a bit to put put the trailer coupling on the hitch of the car. I felt a slight bit of resistance as I started to move the trailer and looked back to see what it was. The toothed half that slips inside the combination half of the lock mechanism had snapped right in two. I did this by accident, and hardly noticed the bit of resistance induced by the snapping of the lock mechanism. Based on my experience, all it would take is a sharp tug at the lock mechanism to snap it in two. That was really disappointing.

Good Cable Lock, Holder Doesn't Fit Standard Mountain Bike Post
The cable itself is very beefy, the locking mechanism is about as good as you're going to get on this type of lock. It only gets three stars because the holder is not adequately adjustable and will not fit on my standard mountain bike seat post. This is a big deal for me as this is the way I like to carry cable locks and part of the reason I bought this particular lock. They need to add the specs of the holder to the product description. I wouldn't have purchased if I'd known it wouldn't fit my bike.

Nice sturdy bike lock for reasonable price
This cable lock is good, especially at almost half the price of other brand names such as Kryptonite that offer no better product. Like all cable locks, even heavier cables such as this can't prevent determined thieves with time to work out of sight with strong cable cutters. However, this is a relatively heavy-duty lock for a bike cable lock and is easy to use and carry on bike and to set with personal combination #, and it serves as a good theft deterrent for most daytime uses when parking in high volume public places.

Don't need a key... which is key
Excellent product, long enough to work with multiple bike docking stations to secure the bike. Great that I don't have to carry a key around.

I feel like my bike will be a lot more secure with ...
I received this security lock quickly and well packaged from the seller. The actual lock length is HUGE, six feet doesn't seem that long when ordering but when you receive it and stretch it out it feels a lot longer. I feel like my bike will be a lot more secure with this lock versus the U type key lock that I had before, as I can wrap this one through both wheels on the bike and around the frame. The security lock fees really strong and durable, the coil is thick the the area with the locking mechanism feels strong and is surrounded with a thick rubber material. It does not feel cheaply made. The lock self coils after removal so it is convenient and easy to transport.I enjoy that I can set my own combination. Previously I had locks with long non settable numerical combinations and I found it difficult to remember the combinations. I would write the numbers on a slip of paper and I would keep the slip of paper in my wallet but eventually I would lose it and then I wouldn't be able to remember the combination so the lock would be garbage. The numbers would be very loose for turning and if they were off placement even a little bit the lock wouldn't work so I would second guess my memory of the combination. These numbers rotate smoothly and it is very easy to see if you have the correct combination lined up. I love that I can set the combination to a familiar combination of numbers, like my house number, the last four digits in my phone number, etc. It is very handy and I feel a lot less nervous about locking my bike up.All in all this is a great lock, and a good purchase. I received this lock at a discount in exchange for my unbiased review. All opinions contained are my own. I am really glad to have received this lock!

Thief-proof!
I wouldn't normally bother reviewing a padlock but I recently caught two people trying to steal my bike, which was still there thanks to this padlock! I'm not sure how it would fair against more heavy-duty tools but it certainly held up against the tools these people were using. What more can you ask! Tried and tested, it works.

Seems like a good quality lock that is value for money
Obviously i hope to not find out how easy it would be to cut through this lock but it does seem pretty hefty to me. I like the fact its easy to return to the coil shape for storage although i'm not using the attachment as there is nowhere to put it that wouldnt get in the way.Pros:- easily changeable code- flexible and returns to coil- seems strongCons:- Attachment not really necessary
