This movie is hilarious. It's almost as if it is mimicking what is going on in our country right now between the wealthy and poor. You gotta watch it. It will make you laugh but also teach some life lessons.Key take away, "take care of the homeless, the poor, the less fortunate." They matter especially now during this pandemic.Don't forget about the poor! Don't forget about those who live in run down public housing who can't get food delivered to their neighborhoods because of crime. They need our help. Please Help The Poor I beg of you.Find a non profit organization to donate your time and money to. The homeless and poor need our help!

It is amazing that a 1991 (Review written on July 2020) movie and in VHS format was still around and in such a good condition. I watched this movie in the 90’s (Yes, I am that old and still own VCR players) and I thought it was hilarious with a very clever sense o humor. So I decided to find it and buy it. For years my wife and I recalled this movie for the "Pepto" character Mel played in the movie, we sometimes wonder if the "Pepto" movie would still be around somewhere. I highly recommend this vendor, very honest, fast delivery, excellent packing, and the movie quality was excellent as promised. The tape played flawlessly. Thank you!

I'm biased because I love everything Mel Brooks. I love his humor and this movie never disappoints. We are unable to have good comedies in this PC leftist commie era, so I've been watching all these goodies like "Life Stinks". My grandpa and I used to watch this together and laugh until we had tears. Brings back good memories and good comedy never dies. Thank God for fellas like Mel Brooks.

This movie is a comical laugh factory about a business tycoon (Goddard Bolt), with no care for anything accept to make more money and realize his dream of building a mega commercial center bearing his name on a poor and homeless zone of the city. When his competitor desires this same zone and wishes to purchase it, the two men some how come up with a bet for Goddard Bolt to survive 30 days on the street as a homeless person. From here you can imagine what a mega rich man who has never experienced a life with struggles, will have to endure in order to survive a month on the streets, homeless! For a comedy his experience is very light but there are many good life lessons to be learned and at the very end this very cold business tycoon with his new experience and perspective on the hardships endured by some of the most unfortunate, he learns to put all of his money to better and more worthwhile use. This was a wonderful movie and I love watching Mel Brooks act, your gonna laugh! This movie is totally worth watching!

Oh God, I watched this movie so many times! This was the first time with my husband, however. He loved it too. It’s a classic that seems to be good for everyone.

A true depiction of the "rich" on this continent.... lawyers lie, doctors over-medicate, and those with money will think up ways to fund their greed....a funny movie about real life actions....

Funny story line but you really have to like Mel Brooks humor to like it.

Never bought this, don't know why I'm getting charged for this, can't give it a rating, but in order to process this I have to select a rating, I'm sure it must of been good. ?

I recall seeing this for the first time in the 90's, it has so many memorable scenes. Undoubtedly this is my favourite Mel Brooks film. Great plot, acting and a thought provoking comedy. If you loved Trading Places, you'll love this. Timeless classic, and it reminds me of the injustices imposed upon the foreclosed, making them destitute, internally displaced. All due to the deregulation of the financial services in the 80's, by consecutive administrations. Failed government policies by the political dynasties, engineered by Goldman Sachs and Co, helped sack the treasury. Thanks to their associates within the federal reserve, government and political classes are all contributory factors that approved and facilitated the bailout. In order to conceal their reckless risk taking, gambling with savers deposits in a high stakes game. Socialism for the rich, its not what you know, but who you know, especially if you're a crony capitalist bankster, broker, hedge fund managers or institution over leveraged with toxic debt.

Despite the glowing reports by other viewers, some of whom rated the film to be probably Mel Brook's best comedy, I found it to be desperately morose and pedestrian in places. A few bright spots, but not his best in my opinion.

i was looking for this film since i was 8 years old and every shop i went to said this film is not released in the uk i was really upset i couldnt find it any where and when i decided to buy it from Amazon i was shocked and really happy they have this in stock and when i got it i watched it and still remember all my favorite parts like the part where Mel Brooks is singing ho to ho to singabimbo ho to and danicng to this film is really good in perfect condtion i will buy from them again

Yes this movie in my opinion is funnier than blazing saddles. Mel Brookes,a very funny man. I agree, whoever said this film was he,s worst must have no sense of humour.
