Marine Moon Mattress Topper Queen Cooling Pillow Top Thick Plush Pad Cover

Welp! I had one of these as a mattress topper. I loved the way it provided a gentle cloud under my lightweight body parts - wrists, elbows, ankles, and knees. It did flatten out under my other body parts. Also, I found that I needed to put my mattress pad and top sheet over it directly, and not fasten it onto the mattress underneath as well, because it required daily fluffing. No big deal, that was an easy enough way to facilitate the fluffing. And for someone who wants to nestle these delicate little joints onto a pillowy surface, it would work well. However, I have back problems. I need support under my back. This didn't provide that. I didn't realize that it interfered with the really wonderful polyurethane mattress toppers I have (yes, two of them! A 2" solid one and a 2" egg crate one on top of that! 10/10 recommend for providing resilient support - not sinking and entrapment like memory foam creates - and yes, I bought them on amazon!). Anyhow, like I was saying, it created a barrier between my body and my mattress toppers. I didn't realize it until I took it off due to a unique and unrelated circumstance, and immediately ordered another. So, after I had it off for a few days, I realized how much better the other mattress toppers alone supported my back. And then I didn't return the new one on time, and it dwelled in my bedroom - until! - I spilled wine on my quilt (don't judge) and had nothing to cover up with. So I unboxed this thing... and it is my new best friend. And so, the queen size topper is the equivalent of a twin size comforter. Which is fine bc I have this bed ALL TO MYSELF (#winning). Without a top sheet, it literally floats over my body like a wonderful cloud of pillowy softness. And yes, literally. floats - much of it is not even in contact with my body. Instead, it creates warm, cozy air pockets around my various pieces. And it is lightweight AF. Yet thick and very warm. Thus, great you sleep in a cool or cold bedroom. It would be too hot for warmer temperatures.

I bought this mattress topper about 3 weeks ago now - so far I really like it. Though, to preface the rest of my review, my husband and I were sleeping on just a spring mattress. I'm sure you can imagine how uncomfortable that is for someone like me who has ALWAYS had ways to make my bed more comfortable (the same feather bed for 15+ years, slept on actual pillows + featherbed for a long time, body pillows for surrounded comfort, etc.) My back/hips (I'm a side sleeper) would get extremely sore on just the mattress, and after about 6 months of that business I decided enough was enough, and we needed to invest in something else. Much like the other reviewers, I spent some time researching other similar products, and most of them just seemed like glorified mattress pads. (Look up the difference between mattress pads, toppers, etc. if you don't understand the difference, because there IS one.) After receiving the mattress topper and reading other reviews, I decided to let it sit out for about 36 hours before even attempting to sleep on it. We have a shared washer/dryer in my apt complex and I don't think it would fit so I let the decompression from the vacuum seal do it's thing. This worked fine for me, THOUGH it never reached FULL puffiness which I think it might have if I had a dryer to help release the tight cotton material inside (which is the ONLY reason for 4 stars instead of 5). It's definitely thicker than I believe most others I looked at would be, and honestly the other customer review pictures helped me decide. Someone else in reviews said that they would compared it to a couple of comforters stacked together, and at first I thought so too. In fact, I first thought I may need to add a foam topper underneath as well just for added support. However, after sleeping on it for a few weeks I can confirm that it's a definite improvement from just the mattress. Now, I weigh about 150 and my husband is about 200lbs for reference so, if you are heavier, this may affect you differently, just sayin'. In the future I may still want to get a foam topper for underneath it because it's cheaper than just straight up buying a new mattress, but for now I have to say I'm pleased with it. My husband was out of town when I purchased so I had to just tell him about it before he returned, but since he's been back, we both agree that we've been getting WAY better sleep. We don't want to get up in the mornings lol Overall, I feel a lot of relief on my back and don't wake up with sore hips since buying, and I would recommend it. Sure, you could shop around, buy, and then end up returning several different toppers to help decide before settling on the best - but unless you want to waste time, money, sleep, etc. I think you'll be fine with this one. A couple final things I would add for those that don't know - this *type* of topper is good for couples - my husband and I used to literally have 3 foam toppers on our mattress and the issue is that if you like to cuddle, you will sink into the middle together, which inadvertently causes back pain when you wake up. With this topper there is still support for both people. Also - I haven't had to do this yet, but a thought I had was to rotate the topper every so often... Your legs use much less weight on the topper than your upper half, so if you worry about it getting permanently smooshed down, I think this could be a solution. Hope this helps any undecideds'!

Exceeded my expectations. I've had trouble finding a Topper that I liked. But this one actually ended up looking and feeling as advertised.

My mattress was slightly too firm and I deal with insomnia. This topper always put me right to sleep. The only issue is I don’t like getting out of bed now

It's as advertised...very comfortable.

This mattress topper did not make the difference I had hoped it would , it only provided minimal difference from the hard mattress beneath and I did not really experience any cooling , my partner said it was lumpy.

Most comfortable topper we’ve ever had. Soft and cosy. Hoping it stays like that after a few months. Gives instructions how to look after it. Would certainly recommend it.

I was super excited to get my mattress topper in the mail, I followed the instructions to put in tumble dry low heat for 10 minutes, I did less time and I came back and smelled burning. My mattress topper completely melted in the dryer and burnt completely.. I simply asked Amazon for return instead of writing a bad review. I asked Amazon if I could throw it out and they told me not to throw it out until I waited up to 24 hours to hear from the people.. I called about three days later with no response from anyone and one of the ladies told me I can absolutely throw it out now.. I just got a message from someone else two weeks later that the company won’t give me a refund until I send it back.. The mattress left plastic pieces all over my house with toddlers around as well as a terrible burnt that I had to let linger in my house for me to not be able to get my refund…
