A nice USB 3.0 M-A to M-A gender changer
Syba SY-ADA20082 USB 3.0 Gender Changer Adapter Male to Male I needed a gender changer to adapt an extra long USB cable I purchased to attach my printer to my computer. My printer is a networkable all-in-one but it won't scan on the network. I could have gotten a somewhat cheaper USB 2.0 item to do the same job. But things are clearly moving to USB 3.0, so I decided to spend a tiny bit more for an item that would not be outdated so soon. All the new computers are now supporting USB 3.0 and it is so much faster than USB 2.0 that I think it will definitely replace the older standard. I think of the small price difference as an investment in the future. It is nice looking and it works well, so I rate it five stars *****.

USB 3.0 connector
This adapter connects two standard 3.0 usb cables end to end for a longer cable. The product works and the construction appears to be good. I have only used these for a short time, but find that the Syba is a good USB product. Amazon, as usual for me, has most of the products that I need and I am very satisfied with them. I do read the reviews first though.

Fast, when it can be used
I bought this adapter to use with my portable 500gb hard drive. My portable 500gb hard drive is the only item I currently own that utilizes a 3.0 USB port. But since the HD has a mini ubs and my 3.0 extension has a female standard USB connector, I needed this adapter. It works great, I just wish I had more components that could use a 3.0 USB port, since my new computer has 6.

Fits snug
Feels solid.No ability to charge or apply power through from a powered-usb-hub port. My hub powers devices without it, but only passes data from non-hub-powered devices.

Not the best but it works if you fool with it.

misrepresented product
This device is misrepresented by the manufacturer. It is merely an extender. It is a male to female conector. A gender changer would be either male to male or female to female.

Good adapter
Good quality adapter.Cant beat it. I always buy my cables and adapters on Amazon and this is no exception.Good solid construction.
