One of the best torque wrenches I've ever used
I’m not seeing any reviews here in english so I figured I would provide some info for people in the United States. I got this to use on my car’s wheel lugs and got to use it for the first time yesterday, I’ve used a handful of torque wrenches, mostly cheaper click units (I’ve never used a digital unit before) with the primary unit being Ft-Lbs and I have to say I really like this. It’s very comfortable to operate, it comes with translated instructions and guides, I wanted something that wasn’t the cheapest but also I didn’t need something crazy insanely accurate so for the price and quality I think this works well, and I’ve read it’s manufactured by the UK company Norbar which has a reputation for high quality torque wrenches. Most cars I’ve worked on list both the silly English units and Metric so I had no problem just using the listed NanoMeters on the wrench, you can see with the picture I provided the 76 Ft-Lbs is readable on the scale in case if you’re working on something that doesn’t list both. This comes in a hard case that “zippers” open, you have to cut the label to open it the first time. I’m amused since I’ve used cheaper tools that come in seemingly more expensive cases, usually my thought is “Cool, I’m not paying as much for the case/packaging, most of this cost is going to the product!” It seems very reusable, I’m sure I could wear it out in a few years but at this point I’ll be using this tool twice a year until I have more cars to work on (maybe soon, maybe never, who knows). I’m sure I can update this review as I use it more, I’m getting more and more Wera tools that I use infrequently (A little wrench for screwdriver bits, metric Hex-Plus L Key allen wrench set, and a little screwdriver) and all look new after I use them, so far they’re all really great.

The more I use Wera tools, the more I like them
Very 'euro' and thus the Lb-Foot indicator is limited. I just stick with newton meters and ask google to translate the numbers for me. Dial (for NM anyway) is easy to read. The click out torque dial works well. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the comfortable handle, though it gets dirty easily and I'm having a tough time trying to keep it clean. Clicks are easy to detect. Handle is a tad short for my liking in this Torque range. Arc throw is reasonable. I like it and will buy its siblings to round out the set.

Buy this.
If you’ve gone this far, just buy it. It’s a WERA. It’s real quality.

Perfect.....
This helped me save 1700 in labor on doing a thermostat and water pump on my 2013 audi s4 at the garage.

Worth it
Some things are worth buying the best and keeping for life. A torque wrench is one of those things. This is one of the best designs I have used. I would buy it again but I don’t think I will ever have to.

Easy to read and accurate
I really like the usability of this torque wrench. The dial is easy to use and more importantly for me the dial is much easier to read than the shiny chrome markings on my old one that was near impossible to see under bright lighting. The accuracy is very good and I confirmed it against 2 other calibrated units. The only thing I don't like about it is the feel in your hands. The handle is a bit sloppy and doesn't give your that solid feeling I get from my other tools. The ratchet head also jiggles around at the end of the bar and amplifies the sloppy feeling. All of this goes away when you're using the tool, but if feel is important to you, these things may bother you. It bother me, but the dial indicator is so good that I'm going to keep it.

Failed in less than 3 months/2 uses. Not trustworthy
Simply put this wrench cannot be trusted. I am a mechanic and went to use this wrench on a vehicle and was concerned I had pushed well past my torque setting. I fixed a stud and nut in a vice and tested the wrench, and I was able to strip the threads a 12x1.25 nut at the 60 lb setting before I got a click. I lowered the setting to 40, and tried again with a different nut and stud. Same story. Don't buy this tool if you have to depend on it. If I hadn't been running down fasteners for well over a decade I might not have realized something was wrong. I have spent 6 months trying to get in contact with Wera USA with no luck. I cannot get an email or call returned, and I am approaching the end of the warranty. Not that it matters since the warranty is worthless. This is the last Wera tool I will have ever bought. It's a shame because I really like the ratchets, screwdrivers, and other hand tools. But if you're going to sell a precision tool like a torque wrench you need to stand behind it. Avoid this wrench.

Marca top!!
