(27 September 1696 โ 1 August 1787), was an Italian Catholic bishop, spiritual writer, composer, musician, artist, poet, lawyer, scholastic philosopher, and theologian. He founded the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer (the Redemptorists). In 1762 he was appointed Bishop of Sant'Agata dei Goti. A prolific writer, he published nine editions of his Moral Theology in his lifetime, in addition to other devotional and ascetic works and letters. Among his best known works are The Glories of Mary and The Way of the Cross, the latter still used in parishes during Lenten devotions. He was canonized in 1839 by Pope Gregory XVI. Pope Pius IX proclaimed him a Doctor of the Church in 1871. Incredibly varied and useful collection of instructional/inspirational works
I haven't read this yet (should keep me busy for some time!), but wanted to comment on the formatting and initial impressions. The books include a couple of biographies, an autobiography, the Saint's letters, and a volume of articles. Included are:Saint Alphonsus De LiguoriHow To Pray At All TimesThe Way Of The CrossPreparation For DeathThe Way Of Salvation And Of PerfectionThe Great Means Of Salvation And Of PerfectionThe Incarnation Birth And Infancy Of Jesus ChristThe Passion And The Death Of Jesus ChristThe Holy EucharistThe Glories Of MaryThe Victories Of The MartyrsThe True Spouse Of Jesus ChristDignity And Duties Of The PriestThe Holy MassThe Divine OfficePreachingSermons For All The Sundays In The YearMiscellanyThe History Of Heresies And Their RefutationUniformity With Godโs WillThe School Of Christian PerfectionThe Religious StateSermons Upon Various SubjectsDevout Reflections On Various Spiritual SubjectsLetters Of Saint Alphonsus De LiguoriLife Of The AuthorLife Of Saint Alphonsus Maria De LiguoriPopular Book ExcerptsThe Practice Of The Love Of Jesus ChristVisits To The Blessed Sacrament And To The Blessed VirginDeath, Judgment, Heaven, And HellNine Discourses For Times Of CalamitiesThe Seven Sorrows Of MaryโArticlesโNote- when I bought this the "read more" button (listing the 30 volumes) wasn't working (why I listed them). Complete with 18,824 (!) footnotes and references (17% of the text), including the original Latin versions of lines from scripture provided in English in the texts. In glancing through several works I see that the writing is clear and easy to understand; everywhere I looked my interest was piqued. There are myriad examples and quotes from scripture, Church fathers, and other saints, and best of all St. Alphonsus appears to pen wonderful, pithy prayers contemporaneously, while writing- the books are loaded with them. The formatting works well, you can jump to the table of contents and individual chapters within books easily (tested on my PC, kindle, and smart phone). Illustrations are clear and well-formatted. Can hardly wait to delve further into this exhaustive collection.

WOW!!!
Every book this doctor of the Church ever wrote is in this volume for $2.99!!! I am so excited and happy. It even has the 2 very obscure books: The True Spouse of Jesus Christ and Dignity and Duties of the Priest. This is utterly amazing. I will keep this forever. St. Alphonsus de Liquori is truly my spiritual director and even more so now that he can whip me into shape with all of his writings. This is a blessing!

Put this at the top of your spiritual reading list
I have read / prayed with many of St Alphonsus Ligouri's books. I especially recommend "Preparation for Death" which is in this collection. Some publications of it are abridged, but it appears this collection has the full version.

Love this collection
I have all of St. Alphonsus's books individually, but this is great to have them all in one place. Also, most of his works are not available any more and the ones I have are very old and the pages are yellow. This makes it so much easier to read them. You cannot go wrong reading St. Alphonsus. His writings are timeless.

Great Collection of Saint Alphonus writings
This remarkably affordable collection has every one of this saint's works, at least those I am familiar with.Unlike the "saints" being churned out by modernist pontiffs, Saint Alphonsus is a tried and true saint and his writings are a bracing breath of fresh air.Has a linked TOC and is well formatted with very few typos.Very pleased.I like Catholic Way Kindle versions because so far, they have been reliably accurate and good.

This is a step by step guide on how to gain heaven.
I am not finished the collection yet, but I am enjoying his clear, simple style which is straight from the heart. His description of what the condemned soul suffers scared the โhellโ right out of me!

For serious readers only.
I've got this book on my Kindle and I use it for meditations and reflections. It is a profound traditional, conservative Catholic publication, which includes numerous books - 11,000 pages altogether -- so it's very good value. But, certainly not for the faint hearted or for those looking for a quick solution to life's major questions.

What can you say --- St. Alphonsus de Liguori ...
What can you say --- St. Alphonsus de Liguori holds no punches back... the truth about death and the eternal outcome of our choices. Don't wait to change your lifestyle as St. Alphonsus says -- you don't have time when death is a the door.

Wisdom of Saint Alphonsus
This collection contains almost all the works of Saint alphonsus liguori. Its an easy read and contains lot of meditations which are useful for mental prayer. One of my favourite quote from this book is given below:"But when a man prays and asks for those things that are requisite for his salvation, what matters it whether he is a sinner or not? Suppose he were the greatest criminal in the world, let him only pray, he will surely obtain all that he asks. The promise is general for all men; every one that seeks obtains: Everyone that asketh receiveth."

JUST AWESOME
This collection is like a dream. It's so much theology and spirituality of a Doctor of the Church. The best part is that he talk everything in a simple way that anyone can understand and is really pleasurable to read. St. Alphonsus is my favorite Catholic writer ever.
