I got this for use in my RV and have traveled many miles with my 15.6" laptop on it and it has held up well and held my laptop securely. I've never worried about it failing. Yes, some of the screws work their way loose over time, but I just screw them back in. It is highly adjustable, so no matter the size of your laptop, you can secure it with the various adjustable arms. There's also two arms that swing up to support the monitor part of the laptop.

I bought this to use my laptop in the field. It is fairly sturdy and can be adjusted to suit your preferences. It wobbles a little when you drive, but I don't suggest using your laptop while driving (like cops always do ;) Easy install and secures the laptop well. I use my cellphone hotspot and a bluetooth GPS unit mounted to the windshield and can use Google Earth to track my movements.

Works well enough, but screws always vibrate out, if you are going to buy this item make sure you get the stabilizer bar too, I didn't and it shakes alot while driving. What I did was cut a Tennis ball in half and stuck it on the elbow and tightened the whole thing down on my center console of my truck. Won't work in most cars but in a truck with a big center console worked great. But for the price you can't go wrong most are over 300 bucks.

This stand would be fine if not for the fact that when you place even a lightweight 13-in laptop atop the platform, the weight is too much for it. If you pivot it back or forth using the handle that screws into the pivot point (pictured), the weight of the laptop will be too much for the joint and either send the laptop flipping all the way back or all the way forward. And if you don't have the laptop fully secured to the platform, wave goodbye to your computer as it crashes to the floor. And with all the frustrating tightening knobs on this thing, it lacks one where it is most needed. I wish that I had set this thing up as soon as I purchased it because then I would have discovered its Achilles Heel and returned it immediately. Also, the email address to the manufacturer that Amazon gave me went nowhere, "undeliverable." I'll try calling the company on Monday, but my confidence that the line will even be active is not high.

I bought this for hubby to use in his car when he is on the road (parked). He installed it in a very few minutes and says it works very well and holds his laptop very securely. It came with everything needed for instalation.

Mount works for the most part. We use it to hold a Toshiba laptop, not the lightest on the market and this mount has trouble holding such a machine. Would probably work much better with a lighter laptop. We had to utilize the optional supports, one to stabilize the mount from the frount and one from the side. This provided enough stability to hold the heavier laptop. One other drawback is in the adjustment of the mounting table. The table cannot be adjusted to a flat position due to the contact with the adjustment knob on the bottom of the table. In our case the laptop is better accessible ( as far as a typing position) in a tilted position so it works for us. If you need it to lay flat, forget it! Still with the cost of the two extra supports the total is a bit of change over $230 about half of the cost of a military/police unit that mounts permanently. This unit can be removed and the supports laid down out of the way so that an extra passenger can ride in the cab. In our case this was important.

I have been laid up on my back for several weeks and bored sick as I couldn't use my computer . By raising the floor mount by 7 inches on a home made bracket I was able to have it over my sofa and bed so I could operate my computer while laid flat. It has been a life saver!! I now have it beside my chair. It is study enough to operate a large laptop and swings out of the way when I want to get up. I'm certain it would be useful in a vehicle as well!!! :-))

Super awesome, wasn’t sure if it would be sturdy enough, I drive on rough roads all the time and super rough roads sometimes and it does great, I do recommend the steady brace for the super rough roads

I bought this for my dad as he works out of his truck pretty much every day of the year. He installed it very easily and loves it. It makes the computer sit at the right height and he likes that he can just swivel it away and isn't bumping into it all the time. He will need the extension to make it a bit more comfortable but for now he is very happy with this.

Excellent product but haven't put it in vehicle yet.

First of all, upon receiving the package I could here loose nuts/bolts moving around. Opening the box most of the parts bags were torn open. Checked that all parts were there ok. Assembled and installed in my van in under 20 minutes. Sturdy for normal day use.
