I have ordered this team many times and it has always met my expectations until this order. This tea tasted so much more like a rooibos than pu-her most definitely not to my liking. Wish I could return.

I have to say that I was not going to order this time... due to the last several shipments the cakes were very light in color and it took a full cake to make one pitcher of tea. I was not able to fine something local so I reordered.. this time they fixed whatever was wrong. The cakes are nice and dark and 1/2 a cake makes a full flavored pitcher full of tea, which I enjoy all day long.

This is my first pu-er order. I bought the tea for its energizing, metabolism boosting properties. I'm trying to cut down on sugary energy drinks.Initially, I was not impressed with the smell or taste of the washed brew. It has a slightly grassy, slightly fishy taste and smell. I'm not sure if slightly grassy, slightly fishy is what the tea description of "earthy with hints of malt" means. It could also have been the aged bamboo leaf wrapper lending the slightly grassy, slightly fishy taste to the tea.I knew how to get the tea to my liking. I brewed half a cake with about a teaspoon of dried peppermint leaves and a touch of honey to enhance the taste and health benefits. Perfection! The addition of dried peppermint and a few drops of honey greatly captured the smooth, malt, complex floral notes and a lingering honeysuckle finish.

I’ve never tried this tea before. I definitely enjoy its aromatic qualities and full flavor. I prefer not to strain it and sip it carefully when I get near the end. It’s perfect on its own without adding sweeteners or any additional flavorings. I will definitely purchase again.

NEW REVIEW:I used to love this and it was my go to tea. I have bought it 8 times over the last couple years. My last order was for three bundles of it and all three were bad, mildewy, and bad tasting. Unfortunately not eligible for returns. Wasted 240 cups of teaORIGINAL REVIEW:Excellent Pu'erh in perfect serving sizes - malty, rich, flavorful and great value.This is an excellent Pu'erh that is malty, rich, and flavorful. The small rounds are perfect for me to brew for a full days worth of tea for my self or a half day for myself and a guest. They are easily broken in half or into quarters and the quarter is a perfect single person amount. High quality and delicious flavor. I will be getting this again if it is still in stock when I run out.

Delicious! Definitely don't drink on an empty stomach and is a diuretic so be aware of that. Otherwise so good and good for you :)

This was my go to morning tea for years, and I loved it. Unfortunately, my last 2 batches are a different product—much lighter in flavor and color. It’s more astringent and less mellow. Now it tastes like smoky hay and green tea. Labeling it as ripe seems inaccurate. At the very least, this is not the same product I’d received for 19 shipments straight and enjoyed.In the photo, I have ripe Pu-erh teas from different sources on the left. Formerly, this product was that same dark color. Note the lighter green color of the last two batches on the right.Unfortunately, I’m past the return window, and am on the hunt for a new morning pu-erh tea.

Good flavor, strong, very caffeinated, I suggest only using a 4th of a disk .
