Chose this old school rugged housing with its modern features of USB ports & surge protection for an application where I wanted a reliable no failure application.

I’ve had this item for over a year to power my stereo system and to recharge my apple products and run the little fan that cools my amplifier. No problems encountered and it has a sturdy feel and heft.

I finally read about surge protectors and how they work, etc. and decided on this one. It looks great has the highest quality protection available and allows for several plugs to attach without getting in each others way as plenty of space is available for even odd shaped plugs. I would recommend this to anyone who cares about what’s plugged into it.

Great product. Got tired of the sub par plastic, low rating surge protectors. The design and materials are what your paying for(plus it looks good!) It's metal casing with independent lines and resistors. The resistance rating was crazy high as well. I plug my gaming computer, monitor, etc. Into in. Peace of mind if your have valuable electronics that are sensitive to surges or all measure.

I have been using Tripp Lite surge protector power strips since the late 80's and the quality has always been top notch.Originally, I used them with computer equipment and the beige color matched the computers. I was glad to see they now have products in black, since this unit is used with my audio/visual equipment and the black color blends in nicely.I also prefer metal to plastic, and Tripp Lite has always been good about construction quality.I didn't think I would use the usb ports but then a friend gave me a LED lamp that, you guessed it, came with out a power supply, just a usb cord. The bottom line is the unit looks great, no problems with performance or build quality.Highly recommended.

Tripp Lite is my first choice in surge protectors. I've been using their Isobar and Isotel (with a telephone line protector) surge protectors for more than 20 years. They provide superb surge protection and are very well designed. The flat wall plug makes it easy to plug in behind furniture. I've had lightning hits over the years where I had to replace the unit but I've never had lightning damage equipment plugged into the surge protector. Tripp Lite has always been great in honoring their warranty and replacing a unit.I only consider another brand when for some reason I have a feature need they cannot meet. But that is really rare.Very highly recommended.

Solid and dependable, typical Tripp-Lite quality. Cannot go wrong. My only gripe is there needs to be more spacing between the plugs for those wall-wart power supplies. The two USB chargers ia a nice touch. If you are going to need to put in the typical wall-warts, consider getting some short extension cords, like one foot long to oversome the crowded sockets. I got an Isobar that is still running since 1995. We live in an area that has very heavy lightning six months out od the year.

I purchased this surge protector just to be safer while my glass kiln fired up. My kiln has worked perfectly for over 40 years being just plugged into the 110 outlet. When I used this surge protector with the kiln plugged in, two things happened. One it blew out my kiln and I had to have it rebuilt. Two the surge protector no longer worked. The lights would go on and the reset light glowed but it would not work anymore. Costly mistake. I would advise against buying this surge protector for things like pottery, glass or jewelry kilns.
