I bought the Srendi galvanised metal hot ash box for my fireplace and it’s been surprisingly handy. The sturdy build feels safe for cooling ashes, and the lid keeps dust contained. The handle is comfortable and the silver finish looks neat by the hearth. Simple, practical and easy to clean, it’s a solid buy for tidying up fires at home.

So useful. I wish I’d got this years ago as it makes taking up the ashes so easier and with less mess. Well designed and made, it’s big enough to empty the stove ash tray straight in without a cloud of dust and ash can stay there until cold and be put in the bin.

Square all round and the lid fits. Easy to use, great Ash can.

I needed something to empty my burner's ashes into because I'm using it more often for heating and they're not generally cold enough to go straight into the bin of a morning. Even when cool enough I make a mess by trying to empty them into a bag to take out to the main bin, ashes everywhere and a grumpy me.I only meant to have a look but when I saw this and the very good price I ordered it straight away to give it a go as there were good reviews on all of the ones for sale, this being the cheapest.I don't think I was expecting much to be honest given that it was under £18 but I'm honestly impressed at how big and well made this ash bin is.It's had its first use this morning and totally does the job I needed it for with minimal mess.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this or the seller because it really is good quality and arrived quickly even though it wasn't offered on prime.Not often you get something that does exactly what it is supposed to do and comes with a decent price tag! Happy days

Update for a second purchase.The first one purchased in January 2024 is still usable but needs a lid hinge replaced and thought it time to have a spare in place for when needed. Not sure this second one is made of as thick a material so may not last as long as the others, it was a lower price which is maybe the reason. Still happy with purchase as it is needed.I've a wide ash pan and this is a perfect size for it. These boxes make handling and cooling ash off easy before placing in the bin.They don't last for ever and this is a replacement for one that was purchase some 4 years ago and had seen much better days well before needing replaced.

Good construction however had to return as quoted dimensions were wrong and it’s only 44cm wide which meant my stove ash tray didn’t fit

Excellent ash carrier holds a lot of ash great for the job intended.
