Yes this doesn't rust at all. It stays out in all weathers. This is a very good buy. It makes managing the ash very easy. I put it outside the patio door. it has an easy carrying handle - bring it in to the fireplace - easy to shovel ash into with minimal dust and close the lid - carry hot ashes outside. then when cold, I carry around the garden to sprinkle the wood ash. Brilliant
