I put this in front of my fire place to to catch the little pieces of wood that fall out of the fire place. It works perfectly and is heat resistant. I Spilled ash on it twice now while cleaning out my fireplace and it's easy to clean.

Placed this on the top of a hard plastic folding table we are using for our tabletop grill. Works perfectly as a barrier from the heat...so far the heat from the grill hasn't damaged the table.

I purchased this "Fireproof" mat for my indoor wood-burning stove. While cleaning ash out of the stove, a hot ember fell onto the mat and instantly burned right through it and put a small burn mark in my wood floor.The mat may be good for a propane or natural gas BBQ where you're not dealing with hot embers but it is not suited for any application where an ember might fall on it.

Shipped from China. I light duty mat. IMHO not suitable for using on a deck to protect spileage and splashed. Probably ok for use under a small grill on a table outside. Do not know how long it will hold up.

NOT heat resistant

This is very poor and unsafe!! I had a spark land on it and it melted instantly, poor advertising as they show an open flame from a lighter held right against this mat!! Save your money this is a RIP- OFF!!

This product is absolutely not heat proof!Some hot pieces of charcoal fell into this and literally burned all the way through. Please don’t rely on this product being heat proof like stated or you may end up with a big problem!

Ich habe die Matte gerade einmal benutzen können, da waren schon durchgebrannte Löcher drin.Danach habe ich die Unterlage entsorgen müssen.Schade, zu teuer für das Geld. Nicht zu empfehlen.

Works well

Mat is razor thin - probably won't blow away being under a smoker or BBQ, and rubber back would protect from grease and drips (don't know about burns). However, as shown, because it was folded up to package, it's deeply creased and there's no chance it will ever lay flat, so it just looks sloppy. Get what you pay for and I'd just keep it if <$15, but for $40, I'll be returning.

I thought it might work in front of my wood fireplace but the first time I opened the door a coal fell out and burned a hole in the mat.
