The Master Of Silent Comedy
A collection of Buster Keaton movies. A pity that not all the shorts including his very early films are included otherwise this is an excellent first class collection of silent comedy classics. They might be 100 years old or even older in some cases but these are absolutely timeless and includes the likes of The General, for me his best film set on an old union train, Sherlock Jr which sees Buster Keaton falling asleep while as a projectionist in a cinema and ends up imagining himself in the movies he's showing as a private detective in some quite clever for the time effects work and Steamboat Bill Jr. Buster Keaton like Charlie Chaplin did all of the stunts himself and wrote and directed most of his movies and could be considered one of the all time great silent movie directors.

Pure class!
Been watching these with my kids who are fascinated by the comedy as well as the drama conveyed by facial expressions and body language. My kids now all appreciate the subtle nuances and understated performances which made Buster a phenomenal actor, as well as a visionary writer, cameraman and director. Genius! If only The Cameraman was included. Understandable as that was his first picture with MGM and a new chapter but as a fan, frustrating that it’s not included! Great DVD, recommended!

A must for any fans of silent comedy.
A complete collection of the master Buster Keaton at a great price. For me he's still funny unlike Chaplin who I admire, but feel has suffered over time. Buster Keaton however is still hysterical.
