This is very sweet like cinnamon candy with a little heat, more than actual Ceylon cinnamon spice. I may try a cinnamon stick in the bottle to see if that is noticeable in the taste. It's delicious, but not sure I will buy again, as sprinkling the spice on the ground coffee before brewing is also very tasty.

This is a very good flavoring syrup. I make a latte or mocha drink every morning and some evenings. I like to lightly flavor mine with interesting syrups and I've often gone to using Torani syrups in the past. I recently learned of, and tried, these Monin syrups. I got both a vanilla and this cinnamon to try. The cinnamon is definitely bold and spicy as I'd expect it to be, but it's not overly sweet. My only complaint flavor-wise is that it can come off a bit artificial tasting if you over-do it. It has that "Red Hot / Atomic Fireball" candy taste, especially if tasted all on it's own. It's not nearly as good as putting good-quality ground cinnamon in your drinks though. The only other thing to mention is that this glass container has a metal cap. When I broke the seal on one of my bottles the metal cap produced some sharp edges that I didn't notice until I resealed it. It left me with a small cut, but nothing that I can't recover from.

I bought this syrup for my coffee and tea. I love cinnamon syrup (homemade) and Monin's Vanilla Syrup is my favorite syrup, so I thought I'd try their Cinnamon Syrup. It was horrible, imo. Although it claims all natural ingredients, it tasted and smelled like chemicals. I checked it for mold, because I couldn't figure out why it would be so bad. My daughters smelled it first and wouldn't even try it. The bottle leaked during shipping, so the things in the box with it were all sticky. Luckily I was able to wipe things off without damage. It went down the drain and I'll go back to making mine own.
