I remember thinking the dual-layer mouthwash was the most amazing thing ever, especially watching it separate and then seeing the little 'flecks' after brushing! I actually thought it wasn't around any more - so was pleasantly surprised. Thankfully, it's more than just nostalgia. I've always loved clove flavour, and this has exactly the sort of strong, distinctive taste I enjoy. It certainly won't be for everyone, as it's not a subtle flavour, but if you're a fan of clove you'll probably love it. The dual-layer effect has perhaps lost a little of its magic now I'm an adult, but it's still a good quality mouthwash that leaves my mouth feeling fresh and clean. I've since bought it a couple more times, and it's now become a regular part of my oral hygiene routine. Review: Removes plaque and gives fresh breath - Really does what it says on the blurb. Dentyl also do a mint flavoured version which is green/blue rather than red/blue; I've always found it less effective than the clove flavour as a breath freshener. It also doesn't 'disclose' as well when you spit it out because the colour contrast isn't as clear. **Q: What exactly are the pink bits in the sink? I used the clove one after brushing** A: As far as I'm aware the pink and blue part's of mouthwash are mixed together prior to useage the "Bit's are solid form"of mouthwash to give a sparkly affect for show and are not dangerous to use the Bit's in sink are slower than liquid to wash away. **Q: Why can my son use his mouthwash and there's no smell?** A: Because they're very mild smelling. Or have you checked he's really using it?! πŸ˜πŸ˜… **Q: Is this Mouthwash free from Gluten?** A: Its key ingredient is Cetylpyridinium Chloride (CPC), which disrupts the membrane – the fatty outer layer – of the bacteria. This allows the unique Dentyl formulation to remove the bacteria from the mouth, both quickly and effectively. Dentyl Active is an alcohol-free water and oil based formula and is therefore kind to your teeth and gums. It does not contain chlorhexidine which is known to stain teeth. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A nostalgic favourite that's now part of my daily routine *by G***Y on 12 July 2026* I came across this on Amazon after it was recommended following another purchase, and it immediately took me back to my childhood. Not too strong, and doesn't sting your mouth like some other mouthwashes.
