Great product, ridiculously boxed in a huge cardboard box.
I only bought this online because our pet shop hasn't got this size. 1 flourocent light tube came in a massive square box that is as wide as my doorframe.????Usually they get boxed into long round cardboard tubes.

Not great, really badly packaged
Sadly new one arrived smashed to smithereens. Initially I thought it was because the box was so flimsy and bent, but when I tried to repack it to return it (unopened) with the identical packaging it arrived in I had to force is back into the box. It was a far too snug a fit. Now suspect it was broken by who ever packed it.Arrived quick, and worked. Unfortunately it only lasted a few months when the last one lasted me about 6 years. Hoping the next one lasts longer as apparently they no longer make these. I was told today that everyone is switching to plastic housed led because they last 2/3 years!? How is that better than a glass and metal bulb that usually lasts well over 6 years!?!? Led lights not only have a shorter life span they are covered in a level of plastic that is going to end up straight into landfill. A very unenvironmentally friendly alternative to the traditional bulb. I totally understand our need to use less power, I just cannot understand why creating less reliable, shorter shelf life plastic coated stuff that goes to land fill can possibly be better. The young guy who seemed to think 2/3 years was long obviously is totally unaware that glass bulbs last way longer than that. When I was a child I had a glass bulb in my bedroom that lasted 12 years and was still going strong when I left home. We are using the same watt system so I am starting to wonder just how much more efficient these modern bulbs actually are!? Seems to me the only one benefiting is the manufacturers.
