I've had to severe dandruff since I was four because of a skin condition that used to be called "cradle cap" in babies. Now it's just plain old seborrhea, so I've used very expensive and not so expensive anti-dandruff shampoos to combat that my entire life. As I get older, hair thinning is becoming a concern as well.After reading the long ingredients list I can see where this would be beneficial to both of my hair and scalp challenges. it has a combination of things I would find in Pantene type shampoos and the more natural organic types. The one ingredient that was somewhere in the middle of the list was niacinamide, and that would certainly help to promote more blood flow to the hair follicles. with a refreshing tingle.I have only tested it once so far and the results seemed promising. My scalp felt great and it didn't make my coarse hair type feel as stiff as many other OTC medicated or "dandruff" shampoos do. it didn't leave any residue behind.At first, my hair didn't feel overly soft as some of my other shampoos do, but it wasn't drying. either. It was just neutral and the day after my hair felt naturally clean and soft as if I just washed it under a crystal clear waterfall. Unaffected by hard water and the many chemicals that combat it. If that makes any sense.It just feels nice!The fragrance is pleasant and ii did not find it overpowering. but I'm the girl who would buy something like "Gee, your hair smells terrific" because I like my hair to smell good. This smells nice without exacerbating any of my skin conditions.I think it's kind of pricy for what it is, so I'll be using it sparingly after I am at about the halfway point. It's a product I like enough to use again and again for a couple of weeks and then put it in the mix with the other shampoos I like.Even though it says it is color-safe it is not something I would use during the first week or so after coloring my hair. I have other expensive color-preserving and boosting shampoos that I use for that. i want to first say what i liked about it.1. it smells pretty good, doesn't bother my lungs2. surprisingly hydrating before using conditioner/hair masksadly, i think i have more bad feelings about it than good.1. it's in a poorly designed container, it leaked really bad in the way it was sent in the typical white prime bubble mailer, and the contents of the bottle was somehow on the outside of the mailer as well as the inside without a puncture to the mailer itself. anyway, the container of the shampoo was weirdly tight-sealed but the sticky thick gel was still spilled all over inside of the mailer. the bottle was bent in half but not squeezed in all the way. this is why i thought it should not have burst so badly as it did.. and that is why i think the container is poorly constructed. it couldn't withstand whatever happened to it. it wasn't damaged, just bent halfway. In the end, im glad there was enough left in the bottle for me to try it out. .2. the consistency is very thick and sticky. like a dark heavy honey. . it's hard to work through my scalp and hair. it says to massage it but it doesn't move. i put a glob in my palm and turned my palm rightside up and the shampoo never budged or ran down. it was sticking in place on my palm!... also makes it very hard to rinse out. well, nearly impossible to rinse out. i could still feel the slip of the gel on top of my strands but it wasn't budging whatsoever.3. It says it helps with dandruff and itching, but i don't feel like it did any job to help that issue in comparison to my regular shampoos that target other issues like frizz and reconstruction. Whenever I have itching, my scalp is dry or clogged. I would use my other typical shampoos once and the itching would be gone instantly before finishing my rinse, and it would be gone for about a week or so. With this shampoo, i thought it would at least make the results long-lasting. My scalp is STILL irritated. I feel like this shampoo did nothing for my itching and dandruff.

May be good for the scalp and hair health but I didn’t get the chance to continue using - left my scalp way too greasy and thus itchy.
