Great book
This book is really well laid out, getting to info I want quickly (either from back index or table of contents). Also well written by hitting on all the key topics, without having a bunch of fluff to get through. Super helpful book.

Covers Pro Tools Pretty Well
I was looking for a recent book that went beyond basics in a simple way. This book pretty well does that. It isn't quite as in-depth as I needed but so far has covered the topics I need help with. As other reviews have mentioned, this book has a lot of information that doesn't pertain specifically to Pro Tools, and wading through all the discussion of microphones and other non-Pro Tools topics is a little tedious. But, it is a good book, has helped me, and was wellm worth the purchase price. For those who might need something that goes deeper, a complete reference guide to the latest Pro Tools release can be found on the Avid website.

Contents seem in target
Contents seem all good.Arrived with big crease across back cover and tears on upper cover edge. But content appears solid.

Very thorough.
Fairly comprehensive book. A bit daunting in so far as, it covers a lot. Not very appealing to read print-wise, bug useful nonetheless.

Not the clearest guide to not the easiest DAW
Pretty well organised book. But .... once you get past the very simple hardware stuff, its not that clear and not easy to use when trying to do something or understand something specific in the software. The illustrations are mainly screenshots which are not very clear at all. The very simple descriptions of hardware were OK but even there the language was a bit like"... look at me I know what I am talking about". Reading this book persuaded me very quickly to ditch Protools first in favour of the Audacity DAW..... very much easier and instinctive. Worked it out on my own in an hour... Protools is definitely NOT not a DAW for entry level recording... this book, despite the title reaffirms that. Anyone wanna buy a book?

Well packaged
Arrived on time. Well packaged. However this book is not that easy to use if you are a novice like myself.
