Skechers Men's Delson- Axton Slip On Trainers

These are excellent "slip-on" real leather trainers from Skechers. As I anticipated, they appear to be well made, are light and comfortable - even when new and after an initial long walk to "break" them in.. There's good arch support and the memory foam insoles ensure a comfortable and reassuring fit. They are easily cleaned with a suede brush and their appearance improves with time. That said, when new, they are particularly tricky to put on. Indeed, don't expect to be able to just slide your feet in. I had to use a shoehorn for a couple of weeks. After that, I still hold the loop on the heel. Obviously, the leather softens and stretches over time - and I learnt the knack! The up side is that the trainers feel secure and unlikely to fall off even on the roughest terrain. I suspect they aren't 100% waterproof in deeper puddles, however, I have worn them in heavy downpours with no issues. With thick socks, they are nice and warm in winter but reasonably cool in summer. I normally take a UK size 12 and these fit me perfectly. As always, I find Skechers sizing is dependable. I am surprised some reviewers claim they are a bit small. I suspect that may be due to the difficulties with putting them on. I too was a tad worried. However, as I said, once in situ, the sizing is excellent and as I would expect. So, at the current Amazon promotional price (~£45), IMHO, these are a bit of a bargain. My only word of caution is regarding the "slip-on" claim in the listing.......

It feels amazing, course as a slip-on shoes easy to go on but they fit just perfectly, not too loose or tight,not had any issues when walking in rain, for the price least so far its worth the money, my other tied based shoes were constantly destroyed despite the money put in. In short, these shoes are great quality, comfortable, good in the rain and great to also drive the car with, I highly recommend this to anyone.

The moment I slipped my foot in, the soft memory foam hugged my arch like a pillow and the lightweight leather felt surprisingly airy. The mesh detail adds a nice breathability and the elastic loop makes getting them on easier than I expected. They look smart enough for casual outings and the stitching feels solid, though the sole started to lose a little tread after a month of daily walks. Overall they’re comfy and worth the price. Had to return as the fit is too narrow.

Just arrived, on first inspection I thought no way is my foot getting in there!! Low and behold once I'd removed the internal packer, the opening stretched enough for my size 10 feet to slip in with a firm tug on the rear tag/loop, according to others this eases after a couple of weeks, I look forward to that. Well made, great price, smart, comfortable and light and as I have both diabetes and severe spinal issues they are an instant hit. Pleased with my purchase straight away and happily recommend them

What a comfortable pair of shoes. was a little concerned when I read a review which said they were tight to start with, especially as I have a high instep. But thought I would give them a try. They are tight to slip into but once in they are comfortable, they hug my foot without being tight and I feel I could wear them all day. Recommended

Narrow fit and shoehorn required to get them on but really comfortable and look 👀 really good so pleased I bought them.
