Hubby got one of these straws while living in Argentina 10 years ago. Every time it gets cold he makes Mate de Celestial (sorry if I butchered the spelling) which is a favorite drink of his, where you pour hot coco over coconut. Since having children, however, the one straw was not enough as they wanted to share his drink all the time. I got him this straw as a second alternative. It is good and sturdy, although his original straw is about half an inch taller and has designs, as this one is design-less. No big deal, but if you want a fancy straw, maybe go for something else? I think each year I will purchase more straws until the entire family has their own. Easy to clean as a baby bottle nipple cleaner will fit in it. The metal is quite sturdy and should last forever for us, as we will only use these straws during the cold season. Very pleased with our purchase.

I've been drinking mate for 12 years and gone through a lot of bombillas. This is the second one I buy. The first one is still in perfect condition. I bought another so my brother and I don't have to take turns to use it. This bombilla is simple, well made, 100% stainless steel, easy to wash and it doesn't clog which is great. There's nothing to improve on it. We love it! Keep it just the way it is Eco Teas. This is my all time favorite bombilla.

5 stars if it included another small spring for people who want finer filtration. I went to the hardware store and bought another spring, threaded the existing one off of the unit, threaded my spacer spring on, and then threaded the original filter spring back onto the unit. Works great! Love the design. Could also include a cleaning brush for a full-service experience.

This is the best mate straw I've tried!! I've used the ones with the spoon bit on the bottom with slits on the side, the one that is paddle shaped with tiny holes... I was skeptical about the design of this one but it works so well and is very easy to clean! I definitely won't go back to the other types I've tried after using this one! The only thing I think I'd change to improve this is to make the mouth piece removable to make cleaning the straw easier. Otherwise, it's perfect!

I have been buying these bombillas for years now. This is how I drink all my loose teas. Every time friends come over and we have tea together, they love my bombilla and I end up giving them all away! They are easy to clean and use.

Works really well actually. Ive had a bunch, but this is by far the easiest to clean. Doesnt clog either.

It actually works!I first bought a ufo shaped bombilla from another big seller on amazon for yerba mate. It was $15 and sucked (holes were too big I think). It was a crap bombilla that multiple sellers are selling on amazon. It comes in a generic white box and presents it like it's high quality with a brush and everything. Sent it back for $8 refund because of shipping and got this one. Even with the loss of money from my first bombilla, this is still worth it I think. I now feel confident in trying other rough cut Argentinian style yerba and can't wait to dive into this whole new world.This bombilla comes in a clear plastic case like some toothbrushes. I will update this if things go south but for right now, it works and what else can you ask for in a bombilla?UPDATE: Not a huge fan after some use. It's over priced. 14 bucks from ecoteas website. I paid close to 19. I don't think the spring does much of anything. The spring covers holes to filter what enters but even with rough Argentinian cut mate, it takes a few cycles to stop getting crap in your mouth. The biggest problem I think is that you can't shape the mate with this effectively so you end up with mate filing up the one side that should be lower. Then you either try to shape the mate and get a new mouthful of leaves or you leave it alone and brew the whole cup of mate with each cycle of water.

bought this for my fiance and he loves it. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to drink their Yerba Mate tea as it was enjoyed by many. Great product, would buy from again

I chose the shorter model. I would have been better with the longer one, as I use it with a taller travel mug. But this bombilla works perfectly. The other spoon shaped design is prettier, but this is easier to clean.

We use this strainer for yerba mate and very happy with it. Durable, easy to clean and filters the tea particles really well. I have gotten three for all my family members. I would recommend this product.
