We camped out for a night near the house with our Cub Scouts troop and our cabin tent was full of Cub Scouts. The enormity intrigued all the youngsters and they had to see it. The tent is so roomy and the lighting was amazing for the value. All of our camping gear easily fit into our cabin overnight with room to spare for the beds. The only drawback was that a couple Scouts tried jumping on the air mattress; all remedied with a healthy dose of hot dogs. Overall we didn’t have any condensation issues; so nothing like leaking ; I believe the design is very functional how the tent can be set up in right at 7 minutes on the first try and lastly it appears to be durable with the stitching on the flaps, seams and zipper which is where I have discovered tents I’ve had before had let me down.

I just attended the annual Girl Scout spring camping event with my daughters, and we knew that the forecast was for 100% rain one of the days. Well, sure enough the forecast was true and it started raining around 3:00AM and rained the entire Saturday. The tent held up very well as far as water leaks goes. I had one little issue with a little water coming in by the door zipper. That very well could have been due to it no being closed properly, so that was not a game changer at all. The built in lighting is awesome and very adequate lighting. My little one appreciated the night light function. I was happy to see that CORE added a few hooks at the top of the tent for lantern, fans and the such. My other CORE 9 person tent did not have any. The instant set up function is always a plus, we got the the site a little late and got everything set up before night fall. When they advertise the tent as a 12 person tent, I take that as a general estimate of it's size. It was three of us and we had two full inflatable mattresses, a zero gravity chair, two small tables and plenty of space of various gear. The only caveat that I can think of is that the rain fly is a bit tricky to put on, and probably is better with two people. I would recommend this brand and this tent.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Absolutely love this tent. We have had it over a year now and multiple camping trips, and it’s still holding up well. Great for our family. Can easily fit two large queen air mattresses in it and still have a walk path and space to sit down and play games. It comes with room dividers for added privacy. Pops up really easy, and folds down quickly too. I would say it takes maybe 7 minutes to get it all set up or torn down. Possibly less time, especially if you have help. We did purchase a tarp to put under the tent, just as an added layer of protection from the elements. The battery powered lights are a really nice feature. Has a flap to run an extension chord through if you need to hook up to electricity. Seals really well. The canopy is excellent for keeping out rain. It stormed during two of our camping trips, but the tent is durable and there wasn’t any leakage either time. If you are expecting heavy rain, you may want to bring a towel to dry off the tent prior to packing it up just so you aren’t putting up a wet tent (or you can just let it dry out in the sun whenever you get back to keep from mildew). The canopy can be taken off/ left off if you want to see the stars or just want more air circulation. When we camp during the hot, humid months, that canopy stays off and all the windows stay unzipped to maximize airflow. Two points of entry is nice as well. For added comfort, you can bring a weather proof rug for inside to give it a little more cushion. We also bring door mats to place outside the tent, especially for when we camp somewhere with a lot of sand. Highly recommend

More like 3.5 stars. I’ve only used this tent twice in the couple years since I’ve bought it and for the most part I love it. Had a Girl Scout came this past weekend that was rain or shine. Unfortunately for us it was more rain than shine. A tropical storm blew in and most gave up to sleep in buildings they could fit into or just counted their losses and went home. Not I! My family paid good money for this adventure and were committed to having a good time. With that said, the tent faired well. It’s water resistant not waterproof so we did get water inside. For the severity of the rain and winds it was minuscule though. The side are vents and seems were the culprit for the water coming in but as I said it was only water resistant not waterproof. Thinking about buying a smaller version.

Love this tent, went camping January 1 to 4th in Alabama, we ended up using the 6 man tent, great time. It rained the last night there and had no rain in the tent, even missing an awning pole. The six man tent was missing awning pole for our trip, called them and they sent a replacement one for us as you can see in the pictures. Some campers next to us there, tent was broke, let them borrow the 12 man tent for the night. They had 9 people in there group, it rained that night, real hard, no water inside. They loved it so much, that they bought one while there. It sleeps great, nice space for your needs. Set it up in backyard when we came back and love how easy it goes together and takes down, as I have neck and back issues, I was able to do it myself, as I'm 62 year old male. This will be used alot for hunting and camping. Didn't take long to set it up. You have to get one, don't listen to the naysayers that don't know what there talking about. I've been doing this for a very long time and would say this is the best tent I've purchased. Thank you, Core for your help and having great products, as I purchased both tent tarps also.

This is a great tent. We recently upgraded to get more room, and room is what it has. It will fit 3 queen air mattresses no problem. The construction is good, sans the curtains, and it goes up and down quickly. The lights are an amazing addition and work great with a glowing light switch. My only complaint are the room divider curtains, they are super thin, basically translucent, and rip easily. Both ripped the first time we used the tent. That said, the tent is perfectly functional without them. Not worth dinging a star for this.

I purchased this tent in February of this year. We went camping for the first time this weekend, Friday night, Saturday night came home Sunday. Weather was great, the “lightest” camping trip you can imagine. One of the arms is bent and cracked. I am beyond disappointed. This was the most expensive tent I’ve bought and it lasted the shortest amount of time. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I sold my trailer a few years ago since it wasn't getting used as much as I would have liked. On average I only camp once or twice a year so I figured just buy a nice tent. Found this one and love it. Literally had it set up, for the first time, in less than 5 minutes. The LED lighting is fantastic and supplies plenty of light inside and outside of the tent. I also bought the inflatable couch, and new cots. We were all very comfortable. The take down was just as easy as the set up other than trying to get it back in to the bag. That was a bit of a struggle but we eventually got it. If the bag was just a little bit bigger it would be helpful. Overall, I love this tent. Best part is I don't have a payment every month! lol
