Owl Magnification WCN-0001 - LED Magnifying Glass with Light - Illuminated Magnifier Lamp Hands-Free - Perfect for Reading - Hobbies - Work

I bought this for use in model making and assembling electronic projects. I have had several cheaper alternatives which proved disappointing. This one works really well. The light is bright and leaves no shadows on the workpiece. The optics are clear with no noticeable distortion and the height is just about right for my use. As mentioned in other reviews the spring is a bit strong but I found my one stays in position with no problem. Would I recommend it? yes. In fact I am thing of buying another.

Bought this to replace a previous fluorescent light, on which the bracket holding the lens failed. Perhaps because of the weight. This one has a plastic lens and is not so heavy. I have it on the side of my desk where my computer is. The light is bright. It's handy if I.m putting a new battery into a watch, removing a splinter, reading the incredibly small print on some things, and generally looking at small things. It's great.

This light magnifier is brilliant, it's got a very good light, which is a led. It's also got a uk 3 pin plug, the magnifier its self is made of glass. I use it for doing my cross stitch, and it was very well packaged, no breakages at all when opened, very very pleased with this item, and quick delivery

Thus lamp does as it says it has a fantastic Light is excellent, optical quality off the magnifier is very good Could do with a base as well as a clamp for mounting. The springs in the arm when higher can make the lamp unstable as it wants to go higher but low down on the working position it is more than adequate Definitely worth the money especially for crafters doing intricate fiddly work as you don’t have to get your work and hands close to magnifier to see.

Great build quality, magnification is good and the LED light is as you would expect bright. My only criticism (which is probably too harsh a word) is the arm is on a spring and storing it for me in my little house will be awkward. You either have to leave it in situ or have a big cupboard to lay it down in. Some sort of strap or attachment to keep it folded would be nice. Good item though.

Great Item. The LED light is bright and no eye strain. Very springy moveable arm on it. Just one word of warning when you cut the cable tie holding the frame in place beware as it literally springs open. I lost a couple of cups and saucers doing it!! But great service from seller quick despatch. Really pleased.

Bought this for the wife who does a lot of craft working and she loves it and uses it quite a lot. The light is very bright but doesn't get hot and the magnification is great. Because it clamps on to the work surface and is articulated it can easily be moved into the required position.

Initially I bought this lamp for fly tying but after testing it at my desk it doesn't quite fit the bill. I think I should have gone for a lamp with a base that could be moved around at my request. I also found it difficult to keep the lamp in certain positions and I don't like it haphazardly moving. The lamp and magnifier are very good - it just didn't work for me. Anyway it has found a good home as my wife will be using it at her sewing table and she likes it very much.
