Garden of Life Grass Fed Collagen Powder, Unflavored, 14 Servings

I am about to turn 60 (but look and feel in my late 40's) this year and despite all of the efforts with my skin care regime on the outside, I felt like i needed to figure out what would bring back the fullness and luster to my aging facial skin and hands from the inside out. The creams, Botox, and fillers i do just weren't cutting it anymore. I have taken collagen sourced from shellfish a couple of years ago that did seem like it helped my skin tone and quality, but i learned i was allergic to shellfish, so that was the end of that! So, i went in search of a collagen supplement made from something else. That is when I found this product. Granted, i was skeptical, but i knew how my skin looked so much fuller and brighter on the other type, so what the heck... i ordered some. After taking it for three days, i started noticing my facial tone looked brighter. After 5 days, I woke up to a much fuller looking face and my wrinkles under my eyes were less visible. This morning when i woke up, i noticed my crow's feet and smile lines had diminished as well and the skin on my hands was fuller too. I am sold... this stuff is like finding the foundation of youth. It has also helped the mild back pain i sometimes get the next morning after running, and i just found out it helps control and stabilize blood sugar... yippie! i put one scoop full in a coffee cup and add 8 oz of coffee and some cream in the morning. That's it. It dissolves smoothly and has no taste. Overall, I can't wait to see what results i have after two weeks, when it has made such a difference after only 1 week. Well worth the money and comparing it to even the stuff i saw at Costco for the same price with only 8g of protein, it is a great value! Word of advice, i just wish i would have taken before and after pics of my face. So, if you buy a can of this, do that. I think you will be amazed at the results the way i was... :-)

I’ve been using this collagen for about a year now, and I love it. I’ve definitely noticed a difference in my skin, nails, and hair—they all look healthier and stronger. One of my favorite things about this product is that it contains probiotics. It really helps me stay regular, which is a big plus for me. I usually mix it with my coffee or orange juice. Even though it’s unflavored, you can still taste it a little—but it’s not a strong or unpleasant flavor, and I’m used to it by now. The only thing to keep in mind is that it can clump if it’s not mixed well. I recommend dissolving it in a small amount of water first, then adding it to your drink. Overall, I highly recommend it.

It is my opinion, the unflavored Collagen Powder dissolves better in room temperature or warm water when I took it in cooler and/or refrigerated bottled water it clumped and wouldn’t dissolve. The unflavored is bearable for me but it would be nice to have a chocolate flavor. The quality is consistent with other personal experiences I have had with Garden of Life, wellness and vitamin lines and it works well with my body. As with anything results vary by person and the reason for using the product. I waited until I saw results (2-3 weeks) and I took this for body repair from long term stress and trauma. I take this at a consistent time daily, and I am not taking this for weight loss at the moment. Overall I find it effective, I would try other highly rated Collagens because this is my first try on Collagen powder. Reasons I chose Garden of life is brand success and quality and it doesn’t use Stevia or other artificial sweeteners that give me headaches.

10 out of 10 product. However, the price fluctuates dramatically. I have this product on auto-ship. It may be $21 or $29 dependent on the manufacturer and I buy bi-weekly. Me and my beau take this daily. As far as the product itself. It is absolutely tasteless and dissolves well in warm to hot liquids. I add it to hot coffee, tea, oatmeal and various sauces. It doesn’t dissolve well in cold liquids and it will make a smoothie airy and swell. My hair grows pretty quickly, my skin is clear, and it helps morning hunger substantially. The appetite suppressant effect has worn off a lot. But I still notice a morning hunger difference when I don’t take it. I’ve been taking this exact supplement since 2021. Taking this supplement has been a part of my routine for five years, I’m on autopilot, adding it in my morning coffee.

There truly is no taste or texture to this. To me. I add it to my morning beverage for a protein boost, and I mix it in with the oat milk in my cereal to add some protein there. Be advised: It will not assist with curbing blood sugar, apparently, because it is not a complete protein and therefore won't register. I only found this out recently! So, do as the packaging says and don't use it for that purpose. But my nails, hair, etc seem healthy. No complaints. I've been using this most days for a couple years now. I'm most concerned about my joints, as an athlete/someone who enjoys being active. Hopefully it's helping those!

This product mixes well in hot coffee. I am very pleased with the product quality and contents. I have also mixed it in cooked oatmeal and there is no taste.

I've been using this collagen powder for a few months now, and have had mixed feelings on the product the whole time. Buying a collagen powder from another brand was what sealed the deal on writing this review. I was initially drawn toward collagen protein due to the claim that it dissolves easily and is tasteless. The extra benefits for skin, nails, and hair were great, but not my top priority. Imagine my disappointment when I found that the Garden of Life powder clumped up without fail, especially in cold drinks, and had a very noticeable taste if it wasn't hidden away by other flavors. Typically almost the entire serving of powder would turn into one big glob that I would have to try to break up and slowly dissolve. For context, I've used the protein powder solely in coffee and in smoothies (which I usually add coffee to as well). If I put a spoonful of the powder directly in my smoothie, a good portion of it ends up in globs on the side of my blender container. If I put it in coffee, I can notice a very distinct and, for me at least, unpleasant taste. The only way I've found to make it work is to brew some espresso over the collagen powder, stir it for a minute or so while smearing the powder against the side of the cup so that it breaks up the big clumps, and then add all of that to a smoothie. However, just today my order of Orgain collagen powder arrived, and the difference between the two products was night and day. The powder almost instantly dissolved in espresso, and when I turned that into a latte, I noticed little to no difference in taste. I'll be doing a lot more testing in the coming days on just how tasteless it is and how well it dissolves in cold stuff, but it's already miles easier to work with than the Garden of Life powder. I can only assume that the reason it's so much more clumpy and bad tasting is that the Garden of Life powder has probiotics added to it, hence me giving it three stars instead of one because the problems may just be unavoidable. It's also possible I got a bad batch, who knows. And if the idea of probiotics being included in the protein powder is a big plus to you, maybe it outweighs any drawbacks. Personally, I'd much rather take probiotics in pill form than deal with just the clumping alone. And I would strongly recommend trying another collagen protein product before or after this one, because there are definitely some major differences between them. I'll definitely be sticking with Orgain or one of the other myriad brands selling collagen powder.

I like how easy this collagen powder is to incorporate into my daily routine. The powder mixes easily into drinks and is convenient to use on a regular basis. I also appreciate the simple packaging and the fact that it doesn’t take much effort to prepare. Overall, it’s a convenient option and I’m happy with my purchase.
