Product works great except for one small change, if your birds are on the bigger end, say you got the 3-7 lbs size bags and your birds are close to 7, even like 6.2lbs, DO NOT puncture with knife and put the label over the puncture hole. The labels aren't waterproof at all and will slide off with very little water on the bag. The holes will also expand fast and become tears and split. USE the straw method instead.

I bought these to use on chickens that we butchered and they worked great. Made the birds look even better. One thing I noticed as we used them that they really need to be dunked into water that is much hotter than the recommended temp. We ended up with the best results after our water had come to a full rolling boil. We put on some heavy rubber gloves and quickly submerged the bird. After we’d worked out the kinks the birds had a nice polished look to them. The stickers to cover the hole in the bag were a nice touch. Overall, we were pleased with how the bags worked and how the birds looked.

These are great for Cornish cross 7-8 pound processed birds . They work well for smaller birds as wellWe usually process once a year and have no freezer burn for any that last a year .

We had bought a different bag but switched this this. This bag easily had all the air sucked out after dipping the chicken in hot water. Also hold up well in the freezer. this is the only bag i'll buy going forward.

We raise pastured chickens for meat and are selling to friends and family. We needed a way to preserve the birds immediately after processing, and without freezer burn. After 6 tries we still cannot get the bags to shrink up properly. Only after the birds have cooled all the way down in the freezer do they actually shrink. We have tried 190, then 195, then 200. Next go around we will try 205 etc. We were not expecting so much trial and error with this product. We do like how sturdy the bags are, and the zip ties make closing the bag really simple.

I have used these shrink bags now for about 2 years. I use these entirely for freezing rabbits. These bags shrink down tightly and offer an excellent seal and protection against freezer burn.These are a mid priced bag however, don't let the price dissuade you! I have never once had a bag tear through, not even with bones pushing into the bag!!!I highly recommend these bags! For the price you can not beat them!!! These are the only bags I use!!!
