FILMGOO One Way Privacy Window Film Heat Control Mirror Tint 17.5"×94.48"

I love how this looks. I bought it for my mud room that has windows on the west side. It gets very hot in there in the summer, and I thought I would try it to see if it would cool it down at all. It cooled down a very significant amount, far better than expected. It did take some time to put up, it was a learning process, but by the end of it, I felt like I had a system down for doing it that worked quickly. At the end of the summer, some of the corners warped up a little, but not enough to need to replace it, and after a cold, snowy winter, it is still up and ready for this summer. I expect it to wear out this year or next (maybe) and I intend to buy it again when that happens. It looks really nice from outside, too, all I see is a mirror reflection instead of the stuff in the mudroom. The key to applying it is to make sure you have a spray bottle of water, the water smooths everything and makes it easy to apply, don’t be shy about using it.

This is a high quality product. I’m not an expert but the installation wasn’t that difficult. I replaced the one that I installed before, in comparison these are much better, they are tick and give you privacy. They can’t see through them from outside. In the picture left side the new and the right side the old one. You can notice the difference.

The film does the job during the day. One way viewing. A bit disappointed at night when the lights are on. Then you’re able to see inside. That’s the reason for 4 out of 5.

I needed way sharper scissors to cut this properly. It did not stick on my window that great. I caved and just left it there looking less than ideal from the inside but not too terrible. I'm a little OCD, but it keeps the horrible sun out while it allows us to see outside. However, it looks AWFUL from the outside. Just awful. Not sure how to conquer that when it's mostly ok from the inside, and I can't exactly see both sides at once while installing. This is a bit thick, which makes it harder to static-cling so the bubbles I got out of it a few days ago are back again in the heat. It comes in a tight role, so I guess if you insist on purchasing make sure you can flatten it out a few hours before starting your project. If I had to get more I would but am unsure how I'd make the project go more smoothly (pun intended) other than sharper scissors which would lessen the man-handling of the plastic before application.

I put up my window film the other day…and it seems to still be in place. I followed the directions provided as best I could, with exception to placing the peel back on the window as I removed air bubbles. I found it difficult to see what I was doing, so I just left out that step. However, I did cover my card in a lens cloth to protect the surface. You might want to figure this out yourself. My windows were exactly the width of my material. I over cut and trimmed as required. I found the trimming a bit difficult, but the wet barrier allowed for adjustment before trimming. I live in a very old house with wonky window glazing anyway. But I’m not sorry with the results. It’s a decent sized window and I did get a few pieces of lint between the glass and film. I’d say, it’s more noticeable from outside than in… easy enough for me to ignore. I cleaned off a years worth of cat nose smudges before application…so ya, I can live with it. Weird, as I’m a frame straightener. I chose the film range rated for indoor plants. I live in the PNW and definitely feel this is my best option even if it does feel a bit like a cloudy day. I get morning and evening sun that really heats up the house in the summer. Normally in summer, I cannot open my blinds before noon, so cloudy day film seems a better option than curtains for me…and the plants. Very happy I didn’t go with the darkest film. No air conditioning! I’ll see how this goes. I’ve also decided to film all the small window panes in my sunroom, the room normally gets too hot to use in summer, unless your a cactus. I felt like it was pretty easy to film the first window with, about 95% success, so I could do more windows. If your an average joe you can properly affix the film. Follow the directions. If i want absolute perfection I think I could have pulled the film, rinse, and gave it another go. Paying a professional is also an option. Prepare your window. I scraped as well as cleaned the glass and frames. A note: use plenty of water. It’s easy enough to card and release air and water pockets. Take care of film barrier plastic separation. If your tint film creases just a little it will stay. Set up a best lint free place to separate film. I did not and got some spots. Maybe, get a second set of hands so the film never has to touch another surface while working. Understand your standards and what you can live with. My window isn’t perfect, but it’s also not too shabby. If you cannot handle too shabby…

I cannot recommend this film enough, a bit pricey but worth every penny, my bedroom is a west facing window gets so much sun turns the room almost unbearable ever since I put the window film on using the black reflective tint color, my air doesn't turn on anymore it's about a 80 to 90° outside and the inside is only 80 at 5:00 and it already starts to drop temperature at that time This is so stupidly easy to put on pick up one of those rectangle flat vinyl squeegees with felt on one end, will help greatly, clean windows if you have grease or anything pick up a jar of the pink stuff cleaning product works wonders on glass was able to take off tape glue residue very easily another product I can't recommend enough because it actually works Dawn soap with water spray it on squeegee it out and an exacto knife and a steady hand and some time and patience Purchase this product you'll never regret anyone with a room facing west with a lot of sun coming in this is necessary save some money from the power company

Heavier mil than most similar items that I have purchased, Very reflective on the outside view and excellent light filtering on the inside. Follow instructions and you cannot go wrong.

Before I purchased it, I read reviews ranging from 5 stars to 1 star. So, I share my pros and cons. I am giving this tinted window film three stars. Pros: It has 2 ways privacy function, except if the room is brighter than the outside at night, I could see inside the home. But better than nothing. Compared to the professional home window tinting company, the price is affordable. I chose blue silver; it looks very blue but keeps the room temperature somewhat low. (Some reviewers disagree; I am aware of that.) It is easy to install them once you get used to it. Cons: The film is very thick and arrived with a tube roll. So, when I tried to lie flat on the table, it kept rolling and curling back firmly. This was a pain in the butt to work with. The film is extremely easy to scratch with a metal ruler, scissors, cutter, desk, and any hard object. Once scratches are there, there is nothing you can do. This film emitted odors of old plastic material. The smell is powerful, from my experience. Materials are not environmentally friendly or human-health friendly. Considering the cheap price and the fact that it was made in China, what do I expect? I got what I paid for. I tinted the bedroom and hallway windows, keeping them for a while. But I am still deciding whether to work on this film in the living room, kitchen, or other rooms. I may call a local professional home tinting window company. I am giving it 3 stars because if you need tinted windows in the garage or storage room and rooms you don't sleep and eat foods, this film might do the job you want and save money.

Bought two rolls hoping to cover kitchen window instead of blind. Scrubbed windows etc. followed the instructions but didn’t work. Just seemed to slide off.

La verdad es que me llevo con arrugas que después de la instalación no se han ido, bastante decepcionado con el producto. No Lo quito porque el final aunque no queda estéticamente bien, cumple con su función para filtrar el sol
