Original Hawaii Wooden Chest Wood Steamer Trunk - Large Trunk

Love it. Bought one, then a second one. Not cheap, but priced fairly. Has side handles and a front latch. Color is dark brown and nicely woven for a great looking piece with ample storage. Has single inside hinge.

The bottom could be stronger, of course, but it's hardly flimsy. It seems to be roomy and I for storage and for a laptop table. There's still moderate room on top for a land phone, pens, a mug or glass and little stuff that doesn't get put away right away.It's a little pricey but I'm too satisfied to complain.

When I started looking for a chest I had an image already in my head. When I came across this chest I had some reservations. It wasn't like the one I had pictured in my mind but; I looked at the photos, read the reviews and decided to take a chance. This was one of the best purchases that I have made in a long time. This chest is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I am so pleased and happy with this chest that mere words can't describe. Everyone who sees my new chest loves it. I use it as a coffee table and added a piece of glass to the top which only adds to its elegance. I am a very happy customer and would encourage anyone looking to buy a chest to choose this one. You won't be sorry. Love it, love it, love it.

I know they gave the measurements but I was using them to make sure it fit alongside my chair under the window and didn't realize how low it really was which made the chest far less useful for an end table than I had expected. Also, the chest is not as substantial as I expected and is more akin to a fancy decorated cardboard box than a steamer trunk. Otherwise it does look good in my room.

I was surprised at how light the trunk was, it said that it was wood but really is very thin wood, feels more like veneer. I am afraid to put my feet on it, I have two teens at home and I am afraid if they put their feet on it it will break. It looks pretty and would be perfect in a house with no kids or animals. Perfect for decoration but not use. over all verty expensive $173 with shipping, $44 for shipping, this item is not worth more the $75. Hugely dissapointed with all the great review (they are lies), why I dont get it.

I actually bought this trunk to use at the foot of a queen size bed, and as soon as it arrived, I knew it would be too small for that purpose. If I had ordered the larger size, it would probably have worked. However....it makes a perfect coffee table with an apartment sized couch in my office! It is lightweight, but looks substantial and the detailing on the top and front is nice.
