Unexpected storyline
What an unexpected story that was filled with some drama and patient read as it unravels the characters. Beautiful ending.

Left me with mixed feelings
I read constantly but rarely leave reviews. Mostly because I am lazy. But in this case I am leaving one because of my mixed reactions to this book. I really liked the characters, the plot, the writing, the hot sex. BUT (spoiler alert!) There are some very troubling and inconsistent parts of this story. The idea that the hero would "train" his woman by leaving her to starve and freeze in a filthy shed is not just disgusting but completely inconsistent with what we are told about his gentle, thoughtful approach to training his horses. It really bothered me, as did the scene in which he uses a riding crop on her. I mean, if he wanted her to trust him, and he knew she was a virgin, why not persuade her with gentle seduction? Isn't that how it happens in the original story?

Terrific book!
I read the books in this series starting with Hunter’s story. Every book was exceptionally well written but I felt like I was missing something because I didn’t know anything about Mel and Xavier. I loved their story and also the happily ever after that they definitely deserved! This series was absolutely wonderful!

It’s just not for me but a spicy read none the less
This is a book that took me by surprise. Very hot and cold moods from Xavier ok kinda a little view of the book Melanie sells herself to save her dad to this man. But the catch is she must give him a baby. She agrees and dad is safe from the things he did. She is brought out to the middle of nowhere to a farm. Dr comes to make sure she is a virgin. Long story short he is into I guess horse kink kinda it confused me some. I have t read anything about that so I have no clue. In the end it’s very good.

Different than I expected!
This book has more depth than I thought it would. I’m Plenty surprised, definitely moving on to the next! I enjoyed the subtle nods to the fairytale!

I really enjoyed it!!!
I really like fairy tale retellings and this version of of beauty and the beast was done so well. Mel and Xavier’s story is such a good version of the fairy tale ending in a wonderful HEA.

Well that was an interesting twist in this book
A really nice read; but then near the end it takes this weird twist with very little context to explain until just before the incident happens. Felt like it came from left field. An overall great story though. Though I would have liked an extended epilogue.

nice smut but didn’t really connect
Idk I just feel like the moments where they were most vulnerable and all or their relationship grew were not really shown and instead the Mel just said like “yes so for the past week, this, this, and that happened” plus I think the guy could’ve hugged her more and stuff in the beginning, like I know all the trust thing and all, but I know the girl would’ve felt way safer if he started a little more gentle.

Edge of the seat gripping Fun Ride..💗
I had so much fun reading this book nonstop. The book right from the start grips you firmly in its grip and doesn't let go. The author's writing kept me on the edge of my seat, wanting to know what happens next, how does Mel handles things. I sorta hated Xavier at times and I just can't believe how she's made me fall for him. I really didn't want this book to end. Loved loved this one.💟
