Q: Do i need to leave space between the shelf and the wall to allow for it to fold or can the shelf be flush against the wall?

If I understand your question, you don't need to put a spacer behind the bracket. It will screw directly to the wall. You should mount the brackets to the wall and then set your shelf on the brackets in the position that they will be used to make sure you don't mount the shelf too far back on the bracket so it will not open completely. Hope that is clear.

Question 1

Can the brackets lock at an angle other than 90 degrees? Say like half way from the folded position.

Accepted Answer

Hello! These can not lock at an angle other than 90 degrees! The bracket can only be folded into a 90 degree angle

Question 2

Can I use the in woods?

Accepted Answer

Not sure what you mean by "in woods" but you can definitely attach these brackets to wood. Just use wood screws. The brackets come with predrilled holes for this or you can drill your own holes through the metal brackets that line up with the placement you need. These brackets are very strong and durable. Highly recommended.

Question 3

Do the levers to collapse the brackets need to be engaged simultaneously to fold? i'd like to hang a 10' wide table using multiple brackets. tia!

Accepted Answer

Tia,

The levers may be engaged individually. From your question, I am guessing you are trying to figure out if you can engaged one lever and then (literally) move 10 feet to the other lever, engage that as well and fold the table. If so, you can do that.

I used a six foot desk (top) piece I bought from Ikea with these and it works like a charm. As long as the weight of the tabletop you plan on using is nothing crazy (to be safe <=100lbs.) you should be just fine.
