Lures Badonk-A-Donk Topwater Fishing Lure - Saltwater Grade

This has been my go-to salt water for years.Tarpon, Jacks, Snook, Reds, Banita, Mackerel and more. Caught a personal tackle record with this lure, 42 lb Giant Cavali (Jack Curvel) on 15lb test. Thank god I had enough line on my reel, but it did fry my drag plate.WAHOO!!!!

Bomber Saltwater Grade Badonk-A-Donk High PitchI have purchased lures since the mid sixties and I feel the Bomber line of saltwater lures are as good or better than any other brand, mostly better. This lure was bought because of this quality, the design and finish quality. The hooks are sharp enough and don't corrode as much as some carbon makes. The eyelets and tie point are set into the lure body tight and don't loosen up and it tracks through the water like a baitfish giving it's final tries to escape. I can't hear the pitch when it's under water, so I'll just have to go with the Manufacturer saying it does. I like it a lot. 5 Stars.

If you are a striper fisherman these are ideal for light action rods for schoolies in harbors or off inlets I've caught hundreds of fish this season on this plug as well at the basonka a donk bone bomber. I 90% of the time I'm fishing have one of the 2 colors tied on. Definitely recommend have had a strong season of abuse no bent hooks, minor rust on split rings, but again ive used and abused these plugs this season

Tried it out today..... Never used this bait before and it took some time for me to get it to "Walk". Was using an open-face spinning reel on a 7' Berkley Lightning Rod and 15# braid with 15# tippet. There is definitely a rhythm one has to get into to make it get that "side-to-side", erratic pace. I got it to work but took some concentration to get my coordination working - snap the tip - reel up line - repeat. I got pretty frustrated when the line started getting caught in the first set of hooks (I wasn't taking up slack fast enough). Will keep at it. I can certainly see how this bait is a real "fish attract'er". I got the 1/2 oz., size and "Lordy", it'll cast a country mile with an open-face reel. For open water - schooling fish .... Geez, this bait should just slay 'em. The hooks are sharp and solid. Will update after I put it to the "Red" test.

I had fish following me home when I left it on the rod stuck in my pole holder on my bike. swear!!

Used in both saltwater flats and freshwater below dams. Good walk the dog action. My best success with this lure is fast twitch of rod tip imparting an injured baitfish fluttering on the surface; especially below dams in fast current. I use 7.6 MH with braid line and mono leader. The target saltwater species are speckled trout and red drum (redfish); and freshwater species are white bass and their hybrids.

This thing has held up to some fairly rough saltwater conditions and as far as not wanting a massive lure so I can pull some medium-sized fish, I have considered this one a go-to. Larger red fish in the Gulf seem to want to hit it, especially when I cast it out past the bars and jerk it around. It has a really good action to it, and it has the quality to last, it seems.

I am in a countywide Facebook fishing page in Florida and this lure has produced the largest bluefish this year by far. Top water. No snags. Fun to see the action. Catches fish!
