I have the old cage that was powder coated metal and is rusting and coating coming off. This Prevue stainless cage is much stronger and better built. Very easy to put together and use. feeders are in front not on sides and I use a glass & stainless water bottle that attaches securely. I have a few other stainless fresh fruit and veggie hanging feeders that make the cage very pleasant and interesting to keep my parrot from getting bored. The Elenor Cockatoo and I are very happy with the new cage. My Bichon & Westie like to visit the bird now because the bottom of the cage is lower. Its a very good value and good size and easy to get in the cage through the good size door.

I have two of these and was able to order extra parts/perches from the company. The customer service is easy to deal and the owner Jason is nice. I had some initial issues with a part that was damaged during shipping and they took care of it! I orderd another of them because these will last a lifetime. Expect fine/microscracthes, outside this is shipped and packedwell. Also expect you may need to return it due to shipping, one part had a dent but I was able to replace it. Very clean out the box but I did wash each part and assembled. You may see residue from glue, tape or the packing corners. Use barkeep friend to help remove during washing. Expect 1-2 hours between washing, drying and assembly. Pros: Everything, i mean everything is stainless stainless. Washed tested and zero rust on any part or screw. Other: the top tray for the playtop blocks more light then you would wish. Be preparred to move near lighted areas to make up for it, if needed. This is an issue for any playtop with a tray, you could remove and not use the tray as an option. Cons: May have to deal with damaged part but paitence will get it replaced/fixed/compensated. Would but again if I had more birds 10/10 Thanks to Jason and Debbie for the customer service and replacement parts.

This cage is exactly what I needed. It was pretty easy to put together. I did it mostly myself, just needed a second set of hands a couple of times to steady panels while I put the bolts in. It looks really sharp, and so far is easy to clean. I use it for my Moluccan Cockatoo to sleep in at night. He seems to have plenty of space. It seems like it is pretty durable. He hasn't destroyed anything yet, or loosened any screws or door latches.

It is a well built cage and is perfect to hold a macaw as she is aggressive and constantly trying to bite into it. I still line the collection tray with newspaper and so far seems easy to clean. It is much lighter than the wrought iron powder coated older cage. The castor/rollers seem of good quality and look similar to rollers on skate board. The downside, my macaw figured out how to unlatch the locks while in the cage and within the first 24 hours of use. I retrofitted with other hardware so that the latches will not slide, unless this additional hardware is removed. Not too bad for a work around.

I wanted a large stainless steel cage for my GCC because stainless just holds up the best. This cage is perfect. It’s large, cleans up easily and I really like the top part and additional places to hold food bowls. **SAFETY WARNING** I want to emphasize that the bar spacing listed on the ad is 1”. However, the bar spacing throughout all the sides of the cage are not actually 1”. The bars on the side are smaller at 5/8”. The bars on the bottom of the cage though are 1” as well as the top grate that goes over the play top. 1” is too large for a GCC. For this reason, I removed the top grate completely- I wanted my GC to be able to play on the flat part anyways without climbing over the bars. For the bottom grate, I keep it covered with newspaper. I feel very confident in these safety measures however I do not necessarily recommend this cage for a small bird due to the bottom grates being 1”. They are big enough that a small bird could fit their head through and get stuck. Unless you have means to keep the bottom grates covered, this would not be ideal for a small bird.

Purchased this cage size LARGE 2+ years ago for my Cockatoo. It was GREAT and I still LOVE it. Been shopping for another SS cage for my conure and it has been a hit/miss. So this EXACT same cage in SMALL is NOW on sale! I was SO excited because I love the Large one for my cockatoo and have been wanting the small for my conure. It arrived and I was EXTREMELY disappointed! The quality has gone WAY DOWNHILL!!! Super flimsy, dents on the door from where the latch meets, dented leg, flimsy latches, ALL around disappointed. I reached out to Prevue and they have me on IGNORE which is very strange because they have always responded to my requests in the past as I have several travel cages of theirs. Suffice to say, I returned it and will not purchase from them again. Very sad indeed. Sorry Prevue, you have lost me a customer. You need to not outsource to China, their quality SUCKS.

We are so glad we picked this Prevue stainless steel bird cage. No directions came with it but was partly assembled so very easy to put together.

Well Made strong sturdy. on ordering i wished it would have been a bit wider , but the larger size had 1 inch spacing not safe for a medium size bird . Anyhow i knew what i was getting and the size is not bad combined with the depth it look like a good size. Anymore bigger may have been too much. it came well packaged not a scratch just a few welding areas as expected. Wow the shine on it is beautiful and it won’t rust easy to clean. I believe this is a winner. see pics attached decide for your self.

I had a sinking feeling when I first saw the state of the shipping box and I prepared myself to be disappointed. Well, miracles do exist! In spite of the obvious abuse of the shipping carton and of the minimal, though evidently adequate inside packaging, there were only a few minor scratches which most likely would not have prevented me from buying it had I seen it in a store. I suspect the rough handling occurred on the way from China. I don't know much about stainless steel but the material used contains sufficient chromium, manganese or other to be non magnetic, So I assume it will be reasonably rust resistant but only time will tell. The cage itself is fine, quite light and sturdy, looks very good and has a greater interior volume than other cages of comparable horizontal dimensions I have owned or seen due to the fact that it extends lower to the ground. PLEASE NOTE that there is a barely noticeable thin oily film on the cage that you would likely be wise to thoroughly remove before housing a bird in it. I would have preferred a NorthAmerican made product but a three or more times the price, I would have kept what I now have. Though easy to assemble, assembly instructions would have been nice. While absolutely not required, get your electric screwdriver, it will speed up assembly time significantly. Six years later... The cage is still in very good shape. The stainless steel is perhaps not top quality as small surface rust spots have developed on the bottom tray when kept wet for a day or two (sometimes water seeps under a plastic protector I keep in the bottom) but nothing that is not easy to rub off with a good cleaning - so perfectly adequate for the product.
