I was diagnosed with lupus (SLE) 10 years ago and the joint and muscle pain I experience can be very debilitating. This product takes care of that 90%. It allows me to function like a normal person. I have been taking MSM for a year and this brand for a few months now and have not experienced that pain while taking it. I do mega dose though and take 3 TABLESPOONS (spread throughout the day) as advised by my herbalist. As awesome side effects I also experience relief of constipation, fast growing nails, my hair stopped falling out excessively and sparse areas have filled in, and more energy and relief from depression (probably because I don't feel so crappy). I recently ran out of this stuff and thought I'd wait a couple of weeks to reorder (my money was a little short) and that was a BIG mistake. The joint and muscle pain came back in full force and I was completely wiped out! I quickly ordered more and as soon as I received it I took my mega dose and I kid you not the worse joint pain that I was experiencing (right wrist) was gone the next day! A few days later while on the sulfur my energy levels were back up. I am so amazed by this stuff. I have taken a lot of supplements and they never work this fast, if they work at all. I will not mess around any more and be without this sulfur. I'm going to start ordering in bulk. It's not curing the problem but it is helping me manage and without all of the garbage side effects that most lupus/arthritis drugs come with (prednisone!). I've tried different brands and I'm sticking with H2O. The crystals are large and I can tell the quality is good and it's obviously very effective for me. One thing just make sure you drink LOTS of clean filtered water if you take higher doses. Also, I know it's supposed to be better with vitamin c and I have never taken them together. I am going to start though and see if I get even more benefits (allergies). Will update after I have tried the combo. Update: 7/11/17 I am now taking it with 4 grams of vitamin C, for about 2 weeks now, and I have recently noticed that my sugar cravings are WAY down and this is coming from a sugar junkie (if there was a sugar rehab I'd be in it). I'm not sure if it's the vitamin c or the sulfur finally correcting that or the combination but I'll take it. I have peanut butter cups that I bought a few days ago and have not touched one. They just don't seem appealing anymore and were purchased more out of habit or just in case I got a craving. Also, this has nothing to do with the vitamin c but my hair is so THICK! It has never been this thick in my life! The strands are thicker and softer and I'm getting loads of compliments now. Just be aware you have to be patient and take the product faithfully when it comes to changes of the hair but the excessive shedding was the first to improve and then the rest followed. This stuff is the real deal and no I do NOT work for the company. Just happy to have found something that finally works.

I've been taking this for about a week, and just got up to the full dose of 1.5tsp twice per day. The main reasons I wanted to try MSM were to help my skin, gums and hair growth, and also energy and joints. I just turned 40 and want to prolong my health and support my body as much as I can so I don't age as quickly. I wanted to write this for people who are just starting out and might be put off by the reports of bad taste or side effects. First, I started out with just 1/8 tsp, once per day, then the next day twice. Then the next day doubled to 1/4 tsp twice per day, next day doubled to 1/2 tsp twice, next day doubled to 1 tsp twice, next day 1.5 tsp twice. I weigh about 150lb and they suggest 1 tsp per 100lb of body weight, so that's how I determined the dose. I take it each day with 1000 mg vitamin C powder mixed with 16oz of water, put the crystals under my tongue, then down the water. Then I chase that with another 16oz of water. This method works well and I don't really have to taste it too much. If you're used to taking supplements that maybe don't taste so good, or if you're a healthy eater, this is not a big deal at all. I was really scared that the taste would be too much to handle based on the reviews, but taking it this way, it's no sweat. I already drink a lot of water, but since I take each dose with 32 oz of water each, I don't feel the need to drink any more than I usually would during the rest of the day and I feel fine. If you're not much of a water drinker, you'll need to become one or just do what I do and get er done. I have experienced zero negative side effects so far. Stepping up the dose gradually probably helped with that, but I also lead a very healthy lifestyle and have a very clean diet, so that may have also been a factor. It's too soon to tell how well this is helping my skin/gums/hair/joints. However I feel FANTASTIC since I've been taking this! I FEEL the energy! It's a good, healthy, happy feeling, not like caffeine, but like a 9 hours of sleep a night, good-living sort of feeling. I feel really motivated and have a sense of deep well-being. I take the first dose upon waking and the 2nd at 3pm and haven't had any problems with sleep. Will update after a few more weeks or months. If you were hesitating, I'd encourage you to give it a try! Take it with vitamin C. Dump it under your tongue. Chase with a bunch of water. Step up gradually. Feel great! **Update 8/21** I’ve been taking this at the full dose for a little over a month now, and my skin looks fantastic. I already had nice skin, but it’s getting even better. It seems softer and more plump and bouncy, especially my face. It’s seems even more youthful and glowy. Just finished the first bag and ordered 2 more! **Update 11/21** I now take 2 tsp in the morning one time per day, as I’m taking some other supplements and can’t practically take a 2nd dose. Still experiencing good results. I notice that my eyebrows seem a little thicker and I have a lot of baby hairs around my hairline.

After taking the MSM, my knees didn't ache when bending. I was able to go down the stairs without grimacing. I would only take one tsp mixed in water early in the morning on an empty stomach. I didn't mix it with hot water as I heard it could denature the crystals. It did take a long time to dissolve, at least 5 min or more and constant stirring. The taste was bitter, but not awful where I would gag. I know its recommended to take two tsp per day but I never did since I was at work and it just didn't happen. However, it was enough to last me throughout the day. I was pretty alert during the day. Around 4 I would get tired. I know they tell you to drink lots of water and boy they aren't kidding. This does make me on the parch side and I would try to drink as much water as possible. But one can only keep going to the bathroom throughout the day for so long. I also noticed that I started to get really bad leg cramps at night. It was worse if I had 2 cups of coffee in the morning. I pinpointed it to lack of water. The coffee would dehydrate me further. After about 2 months I stopped taking it because the leg cramps were occurring nightly. It's been over a month since I stopped taking it and my knees are okay still. I still get leg cramps once in a while, so maybe I'm still deficient in something else, not enough magnesium? I liked the MSM but don't think I can take this daily. Update: 2/18/2020. I went back on MSM several months because my knees were hurting again. I know part of it is due to my biomechanics. The MSM hasn’t been able to remove the all the pain but has helped. I still struggle with leg cramps and just try to drink as much water as possible. The big difference is I got my husband on it. He swears by it and attributes this to giving him the burst of energy he needed to run in order to catch a train. This is something that he wouldn’t have been able to do before taking MSM. We also tried a different brand but he felt this brand was more effective and thinks it’s purer. Sometimes there’s headaches so not sure if it’s too much or too little or this is the cause. But it’s far and few. The benefits out way the negative.

I had to write to tell everyone how thankful I am for this product! I had suffered with psoriasis for over "52 years" (I got the rash behind my neck two days after a small pox vaccine when I was four years old...per my mother). It never went away and would get worse depending upon how much sugar/junk food I ate. I spent thousands of dollars over the years on doctors and ointments with NO RESULTS. Husband is trying this out and so far he likes how it's helping him feel better. Time will tell if it truly makes a difference. I believe it will do the things it has advertised. Update: This stuff is truly amazing. We have ordered the double pack of sulfur 3 times now and will be ordering again soon. I've even started taking it. I don't know all that it is suppose to do but I can say that it has helped heal our bodies faster, without drugs. For example, my husband had an abscessed tooth and his face looked swollen. He doubled up on his daily sulfur drinks and it went away within days. Now it didn't fix the actual tooth problem BUT it did take away the infection part and all swelling disappeared. We both have noticed that our fingernails and hair are stronger and both are growing faster and I have long hair and it's looking fuller and healthier than it has in a long time. I'm 60 years old and I don't think this is a normal thing that happens naturally with age. And it started after I started drinking the sulfur. This stuff tastes like crap. Randy mixes some with a small amount of cold filtered water which I drink quickly (make a nasty face!) and then follow with juice to blind the bitter taste. That's it and things start to work more efficiently inside. Randy just drinks the sulfur with water and nothing else. He said the taste doesn't bother him anymore. I can't see that I will ever feel that way, but I can easily take it with the juice chaser. So what I can attest to is that everything has been a positive experience with this and we don't have anything negative to report. I was skeptical about it but I'm not anymore. The taste is off putting...at first...but like anything, you get used to it! I actually kinda like it now. I take first thing waking up and wait 30 mins to have coffee. Im taking for my knee pain and hopefully my skin will benefit as well

I was really excited about trying this brand of organic sulfur due to the larger size of the crystals and the fact that it is marketed as being the gold standard in comparison to other brands of organic sulfur. However, I found the brand that I had been previously using from International Advocates for Health Freedom was giving me far greater benefits in terms of noticeable pain relief in my lower back and knees. When I started using this brand, I still had some of my old brand left so I began alternating between the two to see if I would be able to notice a difference. After a couple of days, I began to be aware that I had a very low-grade, dull-achy pain in my lower back whenever I used the Gold Standard brand. On the the days that I would use my IAHF brand, there was virtually no detectable pain whatsoever. I tried alternating several times to be certain, and now I am convinced that the Gold Standard brand is not all what the manufacturers are saying it is. Perhaps I am doing something wrong? Although, I did follow their instructions by mixing it in hot, non-chlorinated water which is exactly the same way I prepare my sulfur from IAHF (in the exact same quantity). On a side note, I noticed that the Gold Standard brand does seem to perform better when I mix it with Acerola Cherry powder. That said, my brand from IAHF does not require anything extra to function optimally. So with that in mind, I highly doubt that I will be purchasing this brand again. Both brands cost the same thing, but the brand from IAHF does not sell on Amazon so I have to pay an additional $5 for shipping. But being pain free is definitely worth it!

Arrived in a timely fashion and is exactly as it appears in photos. Follow the directions to a T if not carry the adjustment period for a couple of extra days to avoid detox symptoms. Felt energy right away. If you take too much and too late in the day, it can interfere with your sleep. I am physically noticing benefits as well. Will wait & see how the long term after 6 weeks or so the benefits. Will buy again.

Its crystalline form does not dissolve in vegetable juice, which is how I like to take it due to its bitter nature. I will search out an MSM product that's a powder the next time I need to purchase more. Otherwise, the product is exactly as I expect it to be.
