Bed Alter 1000 Thread Count Duvet Cover with Zipper & Corner Ties 100% Egyptian Cotton Luxurious & Hypoallergenic (Queen/Full, Lavender)

At first I really liked this cover. The feel was nice and quite warm. Even though the cover did not have ties to hold my duvet in place, the fabric had a lot of "grab" which kept it from moving around too much. However, this grabby fabric turned into a headache as it attracted every hair (human and dog), dust, dirt, whatever that was floating around. It was not a matter of static, but the nature of the fabric itself. I also found that the duvet started shifting more inside the cover over time and would need to be readjusted constantly. Not sure why this cover doesn't have ties!While removing the cover for only the second time to wash it, the zipper snapped off completely and could not be reattached. Not happy about that as I've only had it since November. I won't be repurchasing.

It is a great Duvet Cover! Not easy to find sky blue color bedding. Zipper opening makes it easier for frequent washing.

Two aspects of this short review. Firstly, I've only have a short time with the cover. It appears to be a high quality relatively thicker material suitable as a lightweight blanket that you could use (without down filling) during the warmer summer months. I also really like the deep color and substantial feel - I hope it lasts.The comment I'd like to make regards the vendor's outstanding customer service. This cover is offered at Amazon with a zipper closure, a fact that I missed when I ordered. I prefer a button closure so I contacted the vendor and requested a cancellation. They agreed but suggested that they could convert the order to a button up closure if I preferred. I agreed and received the cover within a few days. I'm not sure how they did this but my impression is that they are fabricated overseas, India perhaps. In any case, off the shelf or custom made the order came quicker than I expected and I appreciated their flexibility.

I had originally ordered the silver because I thought the grey would be too dark but upon receiving the silver set, it was actually way too light for what I wanted. When I contacted the seller about this they were completely understanding and offered to send me the grey set for free! I washed and dried the silver set so I could put it on my duvet until I received the new one and oh my goodness, its soo soft and super easy to put on my duvet. If you want a quality duvet cover and a quality company to buy it from, buy from Bedding World!

Superior to other similarly priced duvets and even to some that cost many times its price. This duvet does not wrinkle easily, it's lightweight but holds its form, looks well made, and even has interior ties (bonus). It feels soft too. I bought the ivory, and the color was accurate to the color shown on this site. I didn't want to spend much on a replacement for the room I'm using it in since I'm moving and will have a different color scheme in the new bedroom. However, this brand is worthy of future consideration when I shop for the new bedroom.

Is it really 1000 thread count? I couldn't tell you. It's not overly soft, nor overly rough. I would imagine thread count is closer to 600, but, it works well. There are four sturdy and long ties inside to secure your blanket (or in my case, weighted blanket). Zipper is plastic but has held up through several washes. No real complaints at all. It does the job and at the price point, it is definitely a buy.
