I do like the series. It is silly and you can tell the author is a big fan of anime, manga, light novels, just everything. It's a lot of fun, and now off to volume 3. There were a few editing mistakes, they were small and didn't really detract from the story. Just a note for the author/editor.

I'll keep it short.The story built well on what was established and focused in on the story while only nodding a little to the absurdities that we saw in the first book. The ending was good and we got plot progress. I'm glad the book didnt get too obsessed with our mc playing cupid this time. I look forward to the sequel.

In the same way one punch satires super hero and shonen tropes to great affect this story satires harem and all its tropes to great comedic affect.

The over the top anime shenanigans continues in this second volume with a new love interest Hime! While Hiro's full harem shows up from time to time this book focused more on the slice of life aspects and brought a few more tropes to life. Most importantly we have some character growth (and a dense-chan heroine) between the core quad of characters in the lead this book. This book rated 5 stars as I felt more drawn into the story and felt more emotions to the characters. The tropes while still present have faded a bit away to reveal the real characters beneath it. I'm waiting excited for the next installment.

The story is told in first person and in script format. While initially jarring, it can be manageable except for two problems. When the main character speaks, the author uses a [Me] tag, and some chapters are told by a different character. If you stop mid chapter and pick it up later, this can be quite confusing.

Great characters, situations, and dialogue, along with much better writing than one normally finds in light novels.
