Lightweight & clear sound
I bought this for interviews and being plugged into my kenwood car stereo. This according to the people I talk to you sounds better than the phone itself.

Works good for some needs
Works very goodBut not when its plugged in straight in an interface. Still trying to figure out why

Best for price 5 stars. Would be 3-stars if it was 5x more.
This needs bias power. It will not work straight into an audio interface with XLR or 1/4" inputs. It might work on a 1/8" microphone in jack on a device made in the last 10-years. To get this to work with an XLR jack on an interface, a mono 1/8" to XLR with phantom transformer is needed to give it the bias. RODE VXLR+ is an example of an adapter will work - make sure phantom power is on. RODE VXLR (no plus) will not work and the phantom power might burn out something or do nothing at all.Once it works, it's great. I'm using it for speech only. Granted I'm using the audio interface to process it so it's optimized for speech. The dry signal - well, it's not so great. But even on my more esoteric mics with huge voice coils, I process it before anyone else hears it. The processing is done live so I never listen to the dry unprocessed signal. For speech it's fine. For singing, I'm going to use a larger, different mic.
