They are very useful for the price and the bright colours look nice. The calligraphy nib here is smoothed, so it can be called a stub nib and lesser line width that standard stub sizes means that this can indeed be used in a variety of situations. However there was a catch; either due to misalignment of tines or generally, the nib wasn't smooth to begin with. After getting that sorted out I realised that the tines of the nib were too close together to have proper ink flow. All in all this nib works if you are prepared to put pressure while writing but not if you use it like a normal fountain pen.
