The Milton s-928 tractor tire gauge retracts. It can be used for air/water filled tires. It's heavy duty made in USA tire gauge.

how does depth gauge work?

The bottom of the pressure gauge that slides in and out of the body has a separate cut out that measures from 1/16th to 7/16ths of an inch. Just pull out the bottom of the gauge and put it in the tread and you can measure the depth.

where is the depth gauge?

The depth gauge is an integral part of the 'pop out' graduated pressure read out stick. The first part (the part that you see sticking out in the picture) is a different shape and is graduated for depth reading.
