Hello, We're regularly flying with this bag with popular airlines and we've never been stopped or asked to pay extra. The bag is slim and it's not like a large suitcase that wouldn't fit somewhere. However, many airlines have very different requirements for cabin luggage sizes as well as different policies in enforcing them (especially cheap airlines like Ryanair could question that the longest side of this bag is longer than the allowed dimension). It's best to check what's the allowed dimension limit for given airline on a given flight.
