Four heating elements embedded in thermal-efficient ceramic fiber insulation (moldatherm) on chamber top, bottom, and both sides provide fast and even heating. Heating elements are composed of helically coiled, high-temperature alloy wire for extended service life. Double-walled construction with moldatherm insulation reduces heat loss, enhances energy efficiency, and increases thermal shock resistance. High-temperature insulation in the chamber vestibule and a floating plug door minimize heating loss and improve temperature control. The front door swings down when opened, venting hot air up and away from the operator and allowing the door to be used as a shelf when loading and unloading the furnace. An Iconel hearthplate supports the furnace load and protects heating elements from spills.
