Fantastic shoes for general riding
This is my second pair of these. Fantastic shoes for general riding, as well as DH, or even just wearing around town. They are a little heavy, but they are also very well built (my last pair lasted me for 3 years and still has some life left).I am happy to deal with the extra weight since they are so comfortable and burly. They offer great protection, and are good for extended Hike-a-bikes if your adventures call for them. I have kicked large rocks at a full clip on my DH bike, and barely felt them bounce of my toes.If you're running these clipless, I would recommend pedals with a cage around them though. I run SPDs, and if I don't use a caged pedal (XT trails or DXs), then there's a little more pressure on my foot that can get a little old on a long ride. not a dealbreaker, but something to consider.

Great shoes if you're doing primarily lift served downhill or if you're not needing to ride big miles. They are tough, burly and built like tanks...but they're also heavy and wearing them all day when trail riding you feel them by the end of the day.

Second pair ...
What can I say ... this is my second pair. No I didn't destroy the first set. The rainy season is here and I needed a second pair so I always have a dry one to put on.I looked at various other ones, and ended "doubling down" on this one. I ride flats with them, but I find the rigid soles helpful. They have good protection all around and it looks like it won't fall apart easily...I also chose these because these are synthetic and not leather...The only negative is that they are really heavy, but I personally don't care much about that.....

Best mtb shoes in a while
this shoes are just great... they are as heavy as needed in order to last longer. this are shoes to get dirty, and to feel confortable with your feet protected. the best shoes ever.

She loves them
I called Five Ten and they said these run true to size but we didn't find that correct. I ordered a men's 8.5 for a women size 10 foot and they were too small, closer to a women's size 9-9.5 foot. So I sent back and reordered. I ordered 2 pairs for 2 teen girls and ordered a men's size 9.5 for a women's size 10 foot and a men's 10.5 for women's 11-11.5 foot so adjust accordingly. Their only complaint is that the shoes are quite heavy but maybe a man wouldn't feel the same. Good luck!

Good but flexy
I wear these for mountain rides and urban freeriding on my mtb (with SPD cleat/pedals). The shoes are comfy and fit well but they are both a bit sloppy feeling and a bit heavy for how stiff they are (not very stiff). Overall, a good shoe but not for those who really care about flex issues.

Excellent!
Nice beefy durable shoe! I thought the flex seems perfect for me. I am expecting them to last a while. I bought my normal shoe size.
